Description of the St Simons Island vacation condo rental
These units are located within walking distance of the historic Village and Pier area. St. Simons Lighthouse and fabulous restaurants. Complex has two pools, tennis, a business center, fitness center, playgrounds and lagoon for fishing. Located on 16 acres. I also have properties located mid island, closer to golfing.
Area Information
St. Simons was just named the number two best place to retire in the Nation! We think if you are a young retiree this place would be fabulous for you. There are safe bike paths for biking and walking encompasing all the south end of the island, they even extend to mid island! There is a theater on the island, two great grocery stores, lots of shops and hobby stores. We have some of the best restaurants located on this Island you will ever find! We are also a day trip from Sapelo Island, Cumberland Island, Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Savannah.

WE ALSO HAVE LOTS OF BEAUTIFUL GOLF COURSES, DEEP SEA FISHING, KAYAKING, AND BEACHES. Yet we have retained the charm of a small village.

Best airport to fly into is Jacksonville, it is the closest to us.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities
Complex has pools that have water volleyball, one has a shallow baby pool. The property itself has plenty to do but if you want to venture out to walk, bike, golf, fly a kite, all of that is very easy access from this complex.

dog paradise, very happy

First of all, the rental company is very prompt with their requests, both before and after. I stayed in unit Q13 and it was well furnished, however the kitchen could use some updates (the cabinets are falling apart). I didn't see any bugs at all on the entire complex. It was perfect for our three dogs, there are dogs everywhere and I didn't feel like I was annoying anyone with the dogs. There are two reasons that I didn't give this a perfect score: 1. I was lead to believe there is a beach by the pier/ village but there is not. You have to drive to the beach. That would have been fine but I just assumed I could walk. 2. The pools were randomly closed for a day or two at a time. I can understand needing cleaning, but it happened more than I would have liked. Here, I may sound picky, but when I'm paying 140$/night I expect a pool to be functioning with at least a sign as to why they are closed and when I can expect them to open again. Regardless, I would definitely rent from here again and I'd recommend it to all my friends and family. We had a great time.

Melanie, sorry about the pool being closed, since we have two very large and beautiful pools we figure we are still accommodating your needs if we have to shut one of them down for maintenance (painted pool decks).

We should not have allowed three dogs, two are the limit! We are a very pet friendly complex when everyone follows the rules.

There is a beach at mid to low tide at the pier, everytime the tide goes In or out!

$140 a night for a two bedroom two bath unit is a great price.

Ocean Walk

We had a fabulous stay at Ocean Walk all the neighbors and the pets were so friendly!! We had a great time even though it rained the whol time there.

J-4 Condo

Let me start by saying the condo was nice, clean, decorated nice, and the location was good. There was only two requirements when we contacted Shannon was internet and pool. We got the pool. The internet was the issue. We called they came out told us which numbers to try and it never worked. When we called Saturday Theresa she said we are bothering her on a Saturday and it was not an emergency and she didn't want to talk to us. If we need internet so bad go to the community center or the pool. At that point my husband was furious. I told him to just forget it . I didn't want it to ruin the trip. We own our own business we work all the time that's why we needed internet at the facility. If one of my employees ever talked to anyone in such a manner they would be fired on the spot. Not only was she rude as hell but she made me unable to do my work properly. So when it says not all units have internet that's why you have to ask for a specific place it still my not have internet. The condo itself was nice and the grounds were nice. I would never go back because of the employees and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately the reality is we as property managers and even owners have no control over the internet/cable. If it goes out just like if you were at home or work we have to call in a trouble call and wait for them to reset or reconnect it. It is not always the answer you want to hear but it happens and we try to have a back up plan such as the clubhouse and both pools have internet.
We take call 24 hours a day we welcome your calls and try to the best of our ability to correct the issue.

Everything you need

I had a conference to attend at Sea Palms. Ocean Walk was a better option for me than a hotel room. The unit was spacious and accommodated 2 adults and 2 teenagers without any problem. The 2nd bedroom had twin beds but no tv. They didn't need it anyway! The complex is great and close to the pier and great food. We have stayed in other units in Ocean Walk before and this unit was comparable. Air conditioning unit was loud but it didn't bother us. We would definitely stay here again. Owners were pleasant to work with.

Great Place to Relax

My wife and I had a great time on St. Simon Island. Many shops for her to roam through and great places to eat for us too. We stayed at a really nice condo complex called the Beach Club which we also enjoyed. It was quiet, very well kept and was very secure. The Hodnett Cooper Manager that we dealt with (Mike) was outstanding which made our stay much easier.

My family and I really enjoyed our visit to St Simons Island. This condo was great. We felt right at home. It was so convenient to everything. Beach, stores, sightseeing. To come back to the condo after a long day was was great. Again, it felt like home. The area the where condo is located is lovely. Lost of trees and it was very quiet. Renting the condo was extremely easy thanks to the owner. My family and I would gladly stay at this condo again. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants to feel at home while on vacation.

Wonderful

I came down to St. Simons for a continuing education conference at Ebworth by the Sea. I wanted to bring my dog. The accommodations for the conference were not pet friendly. I was excited to find the Ocean Walk complex through Vacation Home rentals. They had pet friendly units that were very affordable and the complex itself is wonderfully centered on St. Simons. My dog and I walked to the pier and the beach each afternoon. St. Simons is a very pet friendly community. The weather was gorgeous and the facilities at Ocean Walk were first rate. I had anything I needed in my condo and everything was clean and ready for us. I took advantage of the fitness center and the heated pool, both well maintained. Thanks for a wonderful week. I look forward to coming back again.

Home Away From Home

I rented a 2 bedroom and I must say the first thing that was said to me was "What a good choice" this coming from a man was quite a compliment.I enjoyed the decor of the place it was warm yet fun. I must say the all you needed to be comfortable was available from the kitchen to the bedroom. There were plenty of towels and the bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable, like sleep on a bed of feathers. I look forward to coming back next and celebrating his 51st Birthday. We enjoyed the rich history of the area and island. Thank you for offering such a wonderful place for peolple to come. Aretha

"This is a great property, lots of cute ideas we will take back to use in our vacation rental property.

Beds were great, so important when we are trying to take a break. This place was so quiet too. The pools were beautiful and well kept

This is our second time renting this unit. We had a great time this time too. Love the colors, yellow and red, love the little coffee area by the deck, and the comfy recliner too.
