Description of the Steamboat Springs vacation home rental

Everyone loves staying at Giant View Lodge in Steamboat Springs. Giant View Lodge is ideal for vacations, retreats, reunions, and weddings. You will love the large decks around the house as well as the spacious living room with the cathedral ceiling and large windows. You'll have a hard time deciding if you should leave GVL to enjoy Steamboat or stay in the comfortable, western style log house to relax in front of the fireplace, watch one of the many movies available on laser disks or your own movies on DVD or video, play ping pong, sit on one of the large decks to enjoy the Colorado sunshine and wonderful panoramic views of Emerald Mountain and Sleeping Giant Mountain, or relax in the large outdoor hot tub, one of the indoor jacuzzi tubs, or the steam shower.

GVL is perfect for any size group of guests from 1 to 18. The assortment of beds will suit any group. Two of the three king-sized beds can be separated into two twins. Each of the two single/double bunk beds has a small, pull-out trundle bed for a small child. The den has a double futon. With 5 TVs, 3 VCRS, and 2 DVD players, everyone can find an area to be entertained. The kitchen is well equipped for all your needs. Those who can't leave the office behind, there is even a fax machine.

Steamboat Springs has many activities to offer in the summer and winter in addition to the incredible weather. Since the town was built in the late 1800s, there is Old West charm and history to be found in the area from the Ute Indians, early pioneers, and cowboys.

Steamboat offers great hiking, biking, skiing-alpine and Nordic/cross-country- in the ski area and back country, fishing, a variety of natural mineral and hot springs in town and out in the mountains, horseback riding, rodeos, shopping, golf, tennis, and more. There are two lakes nearby for boating/sailing, and a river flowing through town for floating on innertubes (during July and August)and fishing. You can even set up trips for rafting.

• Deposits: At the time of booking, a credit card is required to secure your reservation. Your initial deposit of two nights lodging must be received within 10 days. If the initial deposit is not received, Special Places will charge a $150 uninsurable cancellation fee to your credit card. Reservations during the Holiday Season will have a $300 uninsurable cancellation fee charged to your credit card.
