Description of the Stephenville vacation cabin rental

You will adore this A-frame cabin nestled in the woods. We call it "Wits End." Creek nearby. Lots of wildlife including deer, turkey, armadillo, raccoon and many birds. This one-acre, teardrop-shaped lot is quite secluded, surrounded by hilly terrain with over 150 trees.

Inside, lots of wood moulding. Saltillo tiles cover most of the house; hardwood flooring in bedroom which includes exposed beams and french doors. Carpeted loft can be reached via winding staircase and can be used for sleeping as well. One downstairs bathroom with shower/tub enclosure.

Outside, big deck with chiminea and patio chairs and tables. Fire pit with plenty of logs. Property has been used for weddings, cook-outs and weekend seminars. A-frame is unfurnished but will be furnished according to needs of renter. Simply communicate your needs!

Stephenville, Texas has been recognized as "One of the Best 100 small towns in America." In January of 2008, we were known worldwide for our UFO sightings, some of which were very near Wits End! Stephenville is also known as "The Cowboy Capital of the World." Downtown is only 10 miles from the cabin.

Historic Glen Rose with Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dublin with the Dublin Dr Pepper Bottling Plant and Ol' Doc's Soda Shoppe (70,000 visitors annually), and Granbury with its Wonderful town square, all offer visitors plenty to do no matter which direction they choose to drive. Of course, Fort Worth is only 70 miles north with its historic Stockyards and downtown entertainment. Contact the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce online before coming down!

There is no furniture in the home because we use it for meetings,retreats,camp-outs, etc. We can load it up with furnishings as needed.

• Other Fees: Ok, we SAY "no pets" but we DO love animals and know that you do, too. We can talk about it but there WILL be pet rental fees and a higher Damage Deposit required. We'll consider on a case by case basis. Most often, expect a 'no" answer.
