Close to Paradise.....

August 3, 2013

A great experience which started with our communications with the owners of the house before we ever got there. They were eager to make us feel at home, and kept in touch with us during our stay to make sure things were going well. The house was nicely decorated, and fully supplied, and they even baked a cake for us! The location was on a quiet road of lovely houses that ended at a state park, with a lighthouse. The only problems we encountered were specific to our needs: It never occurred to us to ask if there were twin beds in the second bedroom (there weren't), so when some of our family came to visit things were very tight and we ended up using the living room sofas to sleep on. The location was lovely, but a little out-of-the-way for us. You could walk to the lighthouse at the end of the road, but everything else was a several mile ride away. For a couple, looking for a peaceful getaway, this house is perfect.

Breathtaking and wonderful!

We have stayed in this home for the last 6 years and we love it. The home is in pristine condition and has every comfort of home. The furnishings are very upscale and nothing is outdated. The owners are fantastic and the price is worth every single penny. We always dread leaving this place and wish it was ours. We've been here for every season and it's wonderful anytime. This is located mid coast so it's easy to get anywhere. The food is absolutely outstanding and there are many Chef's in the area that have been nominated for a James Beard Award. This is a foodie paradise! You can do as much or as little here as you'd like and everyone will have a fabulous time.
