Panoramic mountain views welcome you to this casually elegant, newly built, log home tucked away at the end of a quiet country road without another house in sight in Vermont's "Beauty Spot" - Lake Elmore. Pet friendly.

Built from thick pine logs by Vermont craftsmen in the French colonial style featuring dove tailed corners, The Aviary is a large, yet cozy, three-bedroom home decorated in a bird motif, that sleeps up to eight guests in comfort. It has two full bathrooms, a powder room, sitting room with field stone fireplace, TV/reading room with queen sized pullout sofa bed (and satellite TV, CD, DVD, DVR), formal dining room that seats 12, and fully equipped kitchen with a six-burner commercial stove to delight the most passionate chefs. You will also enjoy the wrap-around deck, perfect for summer living and entertaining.

This is our second Thanksgiving at The Aviary, and we hope to spend many more there. This is a wonderful home away from home for us. I love the gourmet kitchen, the views, the being away from it all. Our kids and dog have a blast just roaming the woods! Excellent vacation get away, highly recommended!
