Description of the Stratford vacation villa rental

The Rundles-Morris House, designed by the respected young Canadian architectural firm Shim-Sutcliffe, is available for rent. The house functions as a deluxe suite, with a living room, den bedroom, master bedroom and two bathrooms en suite. It has a fireplace in the living room, and wonderful views of the Avon River. Queen size beds, both with down comforters and pillows are in the bedrooms. Modern European and North American furniture is featured. Seasonal, healthy breakfasts, consisting of local organic products are served daily. Dinner may also be served in the house during restaurant hours; and should you wish to use the house for small meetings or parties, we shall be glad to cater these for you. Rundles-Morris House was chosen as a 'Record House by Architectural Record in April 2002. We regret that the house does not have an elevator, and is not suitable for anyone who cannot climb stairs. Tariff includes breakfast, is $595 CAD per day, plus 6% tax. (Early Bird Rates, $495 CAD per day, plus tax.)

Definitely, most people visit Stratford to see wonderful productions at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival (beginning in April, to November).

Also, Stratford is home to the famous establishment, 'Rundles' restaurant (open May to October).

Off-season, one can dine at one of the top chefs schools in Canada, the Stratford Chefs School, at their formal and focussed "dinner labs", starting in early November thru to the end of February, weeknights, starting around 6:30-7p.m. (Throughout the school year, interesting 'guest celebrity chefs' visit, teach and cook at the school, so call the school to inquire.

Nearby, one can visit St. Mary's, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and St. Jacobs, and old towns of Elora and Fergus. Along the shores of Lake Huron, we are near towns of Goderich, Bayfield, and Grand Bend (one of the best beaches in Ontario). 'The Pinery Provincial Park' is also a must to visit during the summer and fall months. Elsewhere in Ontario, we are very near Toronto; Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and the wine producing region of Ontario; the shores of Lake Erie; the Bruce Peninsula, Georgian Bay and Muskoka region. We are close to border US cities, like Buffalo, New York, as well as, Detroit, and Port Huron, Michigan.

It is possible to visit us by train, using Canada's national rail service, Via Rail.

Small jets can land at Stratford Municipal Airport.
