Stay in a cozy guesthouse on a magnificent 12 acre riverfront estate, nestled in Bethel Valley, the most beautiful section of Watauga Co.
We are 18 minutes from Boone, 30 minutes from Banner Elk and Blowing Rock and 20 minutes from Lake Watauga, a swimmable Mtn. Lake that is claimed to be one of the prettiest lakes in the country.
The 12 acre estate has 2 ponds full of fish, 7 acres of hiking trails, an organic vegetable garden, a stone patio area with a barbecue, wooden swings and lots of bird houses abound. The property is surrounded by horses, cows, wild turkey, ducks and deer. Every season is magnificent.
Our adorable guest huse will bring you back to yesteryear. It is one large bedroom with a loft and a wraparound deck, partially covered. It has a kitchenette, a queen size bed downstairs and a full size bed in the loft area, accessible by a pulldown ladder. You can soak all you cares away in our red kohler clawfoot soaking tub while you watch a fire burning in the gas fireplace. The house is private a secluded with a private access gate and a long magnificent stone wall with flower filled pots; you cross a small bridge after you enter the automatic wrought iron gated entry.

The house is air conditioned and there is TV, but both are rarely used because of the cool mornings and evenings, and the gorgeous scenery.
The owners of the estate live in the big house above, about 800 feet up the driveway. They are very friendly and they have lots of information about the area and its attractions. The have been known too take guest out on their ATV's and also to the lake where they have access to a pontoon boat. They will infuse you with their passion for the area, and they will show you their other log cabin rental, 10 minutes away where they have goats, miniature donkeys and a hand painted muraled barn. It is also, one of the most charming accommodations in the high country.
Enjoy cooking breakfast with eggs gathered from our organic chickens on the property. Catch a trout on our stocked creek (fishing poles included) or pick wildflowers in the woods. Play badmitton or bocce on the property, read a book, or enjoy doing nothing at all. It's all here at your disposal.
