Coyote Cabins Retreat...a little piece of heaven

If you are looking for a peaceful place to renew "Mental Energy," you have found your place at "Coyote Cabins".

Our beautiful 22-acre property has an alfalfa farm at the front of the property where our larger cabin (a log home), is a stone's throw from our 3-acre pond.

Our log cabins are nestled next to the Army Corp of Engineers ground in central Illinois. This provides many opportunities for nature walks and bird watching.

We have a hobby farm of Hammy and Wilbur our pot-bellied pigs. Cocoa is a chocolate tri-colored Cocker Spaniel. He has the most beautiful lashes and hazel eyes, and we can't forget Itty-Bitty, Jam, Breezy, Luna-Tuna and Sierra the cats that are always around somewhere.

Feel free to putter up to the house in the golf cart, fish (need a license), ride bikes, build a camp fire and more.

We are now booking both cabins. We book all year round. Plus, we are also moving into renting the property for reunions, church retreats, weddings and music concert/festivals and wine tastings.

There are also many activities to participate in such as horseback riding, boating public beaches, wineries, golfing, hunting and historical landmarks to visit.

Lake Shelbyville

Located minutes from Coyote Cabins, Lake Shelbyville offers a variety of outdoor activities. Boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and hunting are popular activities on and around the lake. Several golf courses are also located nearby.

Sullivan, Illinois

Sullivan is a small town with a rich agricultural heritage nestled on the edge of Illinois' Amish Country. Sullivan is also widely known for its popular professional theater shows. The Little Theater on the Square offers year round entertainment from plays to full scale musicals. Plus we have opened, Coyote Cabins Restaurant in the fall of 2011 one block east of the theater on N. Washington street. A interesting and amazing art gallery called Yellow Dog Studios has just recently opened and it is an amazing find for art seekers.

Vahling Vineyards
Shelby county's first vineyard, Vahling Vineyards, in now in its third year of operation. Wines are produced on site from a variety of grapes grown in the vineyard.
