ALOHA FROM THE SUNSET BEACH HOUSE!!

Perfect for 2 to 8 people, located on Sunset Beach (on the main island of Oahu), this exotic, Polynesian-style house is one of the best values for a relaxing, exciting vacation in one of the most beautiful, natural settings the islands have to offer. The home has 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, and sleeps up to 8 persons with comfort & ease.

My home is right on the sand at Sunset Beach, on the main island of Oahu, about 1,000 feet down from Pipeline, one of the world's most famous surfing spots. The beach in front of my house is gorgeous and is hardly used as there is no public access to it close to my home. The water is crystal clear and the snorkeling is great!

There is a Jacuzzi on the deck overlooking the beach and my own private volleyball/badminton court is right along side the house, as you can see in the aerial shot on my web page.

The house is only a 7-8 minute drive from the historic whaling town of Haleiwa, which is the main town on the north shore of Oahu. It has lots of restaurants, shopping, a marina (in case you would like to go deep sea fishing), and live entertainment is abundant in many of the restaurants and bars. The Turtle Bay Hilton is about 5 miles away from the house in the other direction, and they have 2 golf courses, horseback riding, and a disco. There is a Foodland supermarket about 1/2 mile from the house. All the island activities, from hang gliding to scuba diving, and polo matches to jet skis are all just minutes away from my house.

For your viewing pleasure the living room has a 46” Flatscreen HDTV featuring all the movie channels with stereo DVD, and there are Flatscreen TV/DVDs in all the bedrooms. The home also has digital security and an electronic safe for your valuables.

In addition to the 3 inside baths there is a hot and cold 2 headed shower at the bottom of the deck which is hidden by foliage, and is everybody's favorite place to shower and refresh after coming off the beach or after a long soak in the spa.

The kitchen is custom crafted in local island Koa hardwood & has every appliance you can think of, and of course there is a Telephone, High speed DSL Wireless Internet (Wifi), Free Long Distance, iron, and all the other items you would find in your own home.

The water is crystal clear and the snorkeling is great. SCUBA diving is a major attractionon the north shore with both boat and shore dives available. Waimea Falls is only a mile away, and hiking at Waimea Valley is an unforgettable experience.

There are 4 bedrooms, and sleeps a maximum of 8 people.

Each bedroom is like a master bedroom. The master king bedroom upstairs looks out to the beach and ocean. The downstairs queen master bedroom looks out to the volleyball court and beach and ocean. Both of the other bedrooms feature views of the lush greenery and mountains behind the home. The jungle like foliage comes down from the mountains and surrounds the home creating a unique feeling of privacy while looking out at the spectacular vistas of Sunset Beach, which is one of the most famous and romantic beaches on Oahu, and certainly in all of Hawaii.

The house is my own personal residence and is completely furnished in rattan and antiques. You'll see pictures on the walls of stars like Susanne Somers and David Carradine who have stayed and relaxed here.

You won't have to bring anything except your swimsuit and a smile to have a Great Time!

Beachfront: The location is magical..... Sunset Beach is one of the widest and longest beaches in all of Hawaii, and our wonderful home is situated right on the sand, separated from the beach only by the palm trees and other lush island vegetation that grows right in front of the house. Just walk under the palms and you are standing in the middle of paradise, on the most beautiful white sand beach that you could ever imagine.

All of the Island activities, including Swimming, SCUBA, Water-skiing & Shelling are all major attractions on the North Shore of Oahu, Waimea Falls, which is only 1 mile from my home features Hiking, & Swimming in the falls themselves, Many wonderful Restaurants, & Horseback Riding are all nearby

The Unique Benefits at this Beach House

My Home Has the unique advantage of being the very last home on a frontage road, and because of that I have only one neighboring house on my left side, which is hidden from view by a 25' hedge of island vegetation. On the right side of my home I have my private volleyball and badminton court, and then there is just state land for about 300 yards before the start of the next frontage road. For that reason, my home has a great feeling of privacy and tranquility with unsurpassed views of the beach and ocean. I never feel "boxed in" like the other beach houses. ********************* I Found Out that I could just as secluded as I wanted on the most beautiful beach in all of Hawaii, or I could enjoy a bounty of cultural and ethnic delights not found anywhere else in the islands. It was just up to me to decide what I would do on any given day, be a sun worshiper on the beach, or join in the party that is always going on around the rest of the island. *********** The Ancient Hawaiians considered this location to be a spiritual spot on the island and held many ceremonies here on the beach, and also carved hieroglyphics into the beach rocks (which you can see at certain times of the year when the tide is low). It is considered to be a location of considerable archaeological significance and is also believed to be a very spiritual place by the Hawaiians. *********************** Oahu Is As beautiful and varied as any of the other islands, but also has the advantage of being able to go to wonderful restaurants, movies, nightclubs and concerts. The main history of Hawaii plays out on Oahu, and the Bishop Museum, the USS Arizona Memorial, the 'Iolani Palace, which is the only true royal palace in the United States and the last official residence of the kings and queens who ruled Hawaii, King Kalakaua and Queen Kapiolani, are all must sees during your visit here to Oahu.

My wife and I stayed at the Sunset Beach House during our Honeymoon in August. The house is absolutely gorgeous and sits on one of the most beautiful and private white sand beaches in Oahu. It's a perfect setting for relaxation. Also, Michel was a gracious host and accommodated all of our needs. His house manager, Breanna, was also always available and very helpful when we checked in. We've been spending family Christmas' on the North Shore for a number of years now and as you know Michel,I had tried to rent your home on a number of occasions but it was always booked(good for you ,not good for me).I was initially intrigued by the Sunset Beach House after checking out your photos and reviews ;I liked the look of the home,the size(we have seven adults to accomodate)but especially the location on Sunset Beach.The stars finally aligned and we booked your home the first time for Christmas 2006.We had a wonderful time that year ;so much so,that we returned again this past Christmas.Often, when one has a great vacation experience,you wonder if it is possible that the experience can repeat itself...well,I can tell you that it most certainly did and to top it off,our eldest son and his girlfriend got engaged while we were there. Basically one word describes Michel's beautiful house in Hawaii. Perfect! The pictures of the house enticed me to take the family for a nice beach vacation and when we got there all my expectation were exceeded. The house is just a perfect beach house with beautiful warm woodwork and an island feel that just make you feel happy and lucky to be there. It has everything you could need right there. The entire time I couldn't stop saying how great it all was. The house is surrounded by trees and is on a part of the beach that make it feel very private. Just steps from the hot tub on the deck is the most beautiful beach in the world. After your time on the beach the warm outdoor shower is a luxury before you jump in the hot tub and continue your amazing views of the ocean beach. I could go on and on about it but it just makes me wish I was still there. Thanks for sharing your amazing house with us Michel! Can't wait to go back....

The Sunset Beach House is our favorite rental ever!! The private location just added to the hot tub on the deck that is right on the beach. The bike rides to Starbucks and the grocery store every morning made our family feel like we were at home. Our boys loved being abe to run and play on the beach every morning until sunset every day,and we could see them from the deck while we lounged watching TV or sitting in the hot tub. The master bedroom was incredible as you woke up to the sound of the surf outside as you viewed the beach from bed. Incredible experience and we WILL return to watch the surfers we saw every day right outside of the house.The unpretentious atmosphere of the North Shore was truly captured and expressed to our family while we were there. Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed staying at your home. We all had a great time and the weather was beautiful the whole time we were there. We've rented many vacation homes in the past 4 years and I have to say that this one was the best. Great view, great location, everything was perfect- we just didn't want to leave!!? I know next year we are going to stay for 10-14 days. The vacation wasn't long enough."

From the moment we walked in we were in love with the house, large deck overlooking the ocean, and a few steps and we were on the beach. The house was everything we had hoped it to be and more. Fully equipped and set up for our every need. The sunsets were incredible, the hot tub relaxing and it was easy travel to anyplace we wanted to go. Had Christmas Eve dinner at Haleiwa Joes Seafood Grill on the outside patio ( wonderful)and church following dinner. Ted's bakery down the road is wonderful and the grocery store very convenient. Visited Pearl Harbor, Dole Pinapple, and snorkeled at Sharks Cove. Spent Christmas day laying on the beach and collecting sea shells. Doesn't get any better. We highly recommend this home to other travelers looking for an awesome vacations. I know we plan to return in the future. Aloha! S
