Description of the Sunset Beach vacation condo rental
Colony II is a beautiful 1st floor condominium with available lockout located in the Sea Trail (Oyster Bay) Plantation and Golf Resort in Sunset Beach, NC.

The condo unit is just across the street from the Intercoastal Waterway and just a short 5 minute drive to Sunset Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

Colony II has two bedrooms and two baths that easily accommodates a party of 6 to 8 or you can rent out the lockout for your smaller party of two.

The unit offers all the amenities of home including a spacious living room with sleeper sofa, Color TV, and DVD player. There is a walkout patio which is just steps away from an outdoor and indoor pool, indoor jacuzzi and workout room.

The kitchen includes an oven, microwave, blender, toaster, dishwasher and all your cooking necessities plus a dining area. A washer and dryer are located just off the kitchen for your convenience.

The master bedroom includes two double beds, color television, large walkthrough closet and entry into a full bathroom.

The second bedroom (lockout unit which can be rented separately) includes a queen bed, full bathroom, jacuzzi tub, wet bar, dorm size refrigerator, microwave, color TV, dining area and a coffee maker with supplies.

There is NO need to bring sheets or towels as they are included in the rental package.

If you are looking for a family vacation or golf outing with friends you can rent both units (sleeps 6 to 8). Or if you are looking for a romantic getaway or inexpensive golf outing for two you can rent the lockout! Either way you can't go wrong. We offer weekly, monthly and yearly rentals.

Perfect escape

This is the second time I have stayed here and will definitely return. I rented for a month the first time, but could only stay 3 days this time. The condo is clean, in a quiet setting, has everything you need and the owners are great to work with! I love that the condo is so close to the beach, great local shops and restaurants and the wildlife watching is spectacular, yet only 20 minutes from Myrtle Beach. This is the perfect escape from a hectic everyday life.

Tranquility At Last!

Though I love my beach, I have to say, I found the ideal place for my second home. For once in our lives, the write up about the condo didn't do it justice, in a good way! My boyfriend and I went 3 days in advance, before the rest of the group (son, friend, and grandkds) arrived, so we could have our down time. The Jacuzzi in the master bedroom (lock out unit) saved the day as my boyfriend was ill, and it was the only thing that made him feel better. The layout of the unit is very spacious, and very nicely decorated. My granddaughters loved the mirrored walls, and I spent the last morning there cleaning finger prints off of them. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we cooked dinner in, every night, and we were there for an entire week. The owners were great, and called to see if every thing was to our satisfaction the day we arrived, and they had a file folder filled with places to go, and local restaurants. There was even a washer & dryer, it was so nice to go home with clean clothes! I highly recommend this unit! It is on the ground floor, the pool is right outside the patio, just a few steps away. There is even an indoor pool if it rains, along with an indoor hot tub, for everyone to soak those sore muscles away. It was so quiet, it was like we were the only ones in the complex. If you are looking for relaxation & piece and quiet, this is the place to go! I will be back for sure!! My grand daughters ( 3 1/2 & 1) cried when we left.

Nice place at a nice price.

This was our first trip to Sunset Beach and also our first time staying off the ocean. We had a family group of four adults and four children ranging in age from 11-16. I was a little worried that we might feel too cramped but that was not a problem at all. Plenty of beds and a sleeper sofa, and the beds were comfortable. It is also very nice not to have to bring linens along on the trip except for beach towels. Plenty of nice sheets and towels are supplied. The condo is clean and well kept. We did a lot of cooking while there. We brought our own griddle, but there was an assortment of pots and pans and plenty of dishes and flatware for even our large group. Having a dishwasher was very nice to clean up after meals as well. With the combination of table and bar stools, everyone had a place to sit at mealtime. The blender came in handy when making lots of smoothies for the kids. I was a bit dubious about staying away from oceanfront. No worries there either. The beach is just a few minutes by vehicle down the road and across the big bridge with plenty of parking. We only had one beach afternoon because of the relentless rain, but no need for beach lovers to worry about not staying oceanfront. It is no problem to get there from Colony II, and there are bathrooms at the pier and a place to unload all your stuff. With all the rain, we were very happy to have a swimming pool on the grounds! The children enjoyed the poos (indoor and out)l every day and the adults relaxed in the hot tub. The pools are nice and clean and just a short walk across the lawn. We also enjoyed Calabash and visited the dock and gift shops and thrift stores there. We had a good meal there at The Calabash Seafood Hut. We also bought fresh shrimp straight off the boat and cooked them at home. The Ingram Planetarium is nearby, with fun for kids (and adults) in the science center there. We took in a laser light show one evening. Myrtle Beach is a short drive down the coast for those craving shopping or a little excitement. The younger people made that trip one afternoon while the grandparents went to Inlet View Restaurant. We liked the complex, the condo was very nice, and Tim & Sheila are great to deal with. The location is great if you don't need to stay oceanfront, central to everything but peaceful & quiet. We all had a very enjoyable experience and are thinking about returning next year. Wonderful Vacation

Condo- everything you need and MORE!

Returned for a second year to Colony 11. Everything went great as it did last year. Wonderful Condo, in a quiet beautiful setting. So enjoyed sitting out on the patio/ lounging at the pool/ dining at local family run restaurants/ driving to near by towns/ shopping -of course. We couldn't of asked for anything more. ALL YOU COULD EVER WANT IN A VACATION CONDO!

We rented this condo for one week in July. It was my husband and I and our 11-year-old daughter. We just rented the main part of the condo (not the lock-out unit) because we were on a tight budget. What a deal! The prices are better than fair.Also, you get the deposit money back quickly. When you arrive, there will be plenty of close-to-the-unit parking. You will not have to carry your belongings very far. It's on the ground floor, so no steps! When you enter, you are greeted with nice, cold air conditioning. That is important to us. Off the foyer, there's a little laundry closet with a stackable washer and dryer. Both work well and are very efficient! Go forward a bit, and on the left is a bathroom with a tub. The shower works great...nice water pressure. If you go down the foyer a bit more, to the right you will find the kitchen that opens up to a dining area and living room. The kitchen had everything that we needed, and we cooked in a lot. There was a garbage disposal and great dishwasher. Also, there is a full-sized fridge, stove/oven, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, ETC. The dining room table seats 6, and there was a bar that seats 4 more I believe. The living room was nice with a full-sized sofa and a loveseat as well as two easy chairs. All were clean and comfortable. My daughter slept on the pull-out sofa. She said it was comfortable. Outside the living area, there is a patio with seating. Beyond that, there is a short walk to the pool. Don't worry about noise from kids at the pool. Not very many people go to the pool; however, when families go, you can't hear any noise at all in the condo. the pool is nice and clean. There is an indoor pool and hot tub adjacent to the outside pool, and there is an exercise room. I didn't use it, but I peeked in, and it looked nice. Back in the condo, off of the living room is a large bedroom that has 2 full-sized beds in it. THE MATTRESSES ARE FANTASTIC! Bed quality is importatnt to us because my husband has a bad back and neck. He dloved them. In fact, we liked them so well that we looked at the name and so that when we update mattresses at home we can get the same ones! Also, there is a chest of drawers and a bedside table with plenty of room to put your clothes in.

Nice condo, great location

This is the second time that my family and I have chosen to stay in 904 Colony II, and we're sure to return. The condo is bright, clean and well-maintained - much better so than another unit in this same complex at which we've stayed. This condo is also close to the complex's pools, one of which is covered and accompanied by a spa - a great attribute for those who've had too much sun and need the shade! Best of all, the owners are a pleasure to deal with and offer a nice place to stay at a budget-friendly rate. We look forward to returning!

First Condo Rental

This is the first time we have ever rented a condo. It was a great surprise. Well appointed and very clean. Wonderful! Great location and a very relaxing weekend. Sunset Beach , Ocean Isle Beach and Calabash are all within minutes of each other and the condo location. The owners were very efficient at handling our last minute request, thank you. Nature at its best with all the conveniences

Just a hop and jump from busy Myrtle Beach is the hidden jewel of Sunset Beach. The beach is wide and beautiful at low tide. The inland waterway is magnificent displaying many birds from the oyster catcher to the little green heron. This property is perfectly located for beach fun, golf, and great seafood restaurants. It is less than 5 miles from Calabash, the seafood capital. There is something there for folks from 9 to 90. We had a 9 year old and two nearly 90's with us and they had a ball. The condo was convenient and nicely appointed with the comforts of home. The pool is directly across from the condo and the grounds are well kept. Fun for all.

The condo at Colony II was so nice. It was much larger than I had expected, very comfortable and clean. The furniture was nice, not cheap. The pool was close along with place to shop and eat. Good Area. The condo had wi-fi which was an extra plus. I would stay there again, and have already recommended it to other.

Enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo! It is very clean and well kept, with all the necessary kitchen amenities. The pool is right outside the back door and it's a very short, convenient drive to the beach. optional -- There is also an optional lockout to rent with an extra bedroom, sitting area, mini fridge and sink -- it was nice to expand the space for room to bring extra friends!

Wonderful, Spacious Condo

I stayed here in May 2009 for a long weekend and it was just perfect! The condo was spacious and very comfortable. It was extremely clean with great amenities and also nicely decorated. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was a separate dining area with plenty of room. Having 2 bedrooms and baths offered lots of privacy in the condo. The beds were all very comfortable. The community was very nice and quiet. There was plenty of parking available and it was a very quick drive to the beautiful, family-oriented beach. It was also an easy, short drive to get to the tons of attractions in Myrtle Beach. I will definitly be returning to this condo for future trips!
