Description of the Swan Lake vacation cottage rental
Book 2 consecutive weeks in 2013 and we will take off $100.00.
Swan Lake is approximately 3.25 miles long by 1 mile wide. It has a maximum depth of 87 feet with an average depth of 34 feet.
Fishing is a popular activity on the lake with Salmon, small mouth bass, white perch, brook trout and togue in the lake waters.
Well behaved pets are allowed with permission

Kayak and canoe rentals are available at a local sportsman store.
Area Information
The Bar Harbor region and Acadia National Park are only 1.5 hours away and the Moosehead Lake region is 2 hours from the cottage.

Just what the Doctor order!

Amazing week we had! The peace and beauty of this location was just what we were looking for. Swan Lake has everything that you will need to enjoy your stay. We felt like we were home as soon as we walked in. So warm and comfy. The house was very clean. Lisa, the owner was very nice to deal with, if we had any we can just call her. They live down the road if we needed her. If I had one thing, it would be that there was more light in the downstairs bathroom..other then that.. it was perfect. We are hoping to come back next fall.. Thanks again Lisa for a wonderful place for our vacation.

The best vacation ever!

The property was impeccably clean, and charming. The owners thought of everything! There were Lobster feed supplies, loads of extra towels, entertainment, fully equipped propane cookout grill, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and a large camp fire pit. All we needed to bring was our food, clothing, and personal care products. The beach is private, with a nice gradually increasing depth. The only regret I had, was that I had not booked more time! I felt so at home and was really able to relax. When family and friends dropped by, they all fell in love with this property.

Wonderful Cottage

We had a wonderful week in Maine at this cottage, It was the best stocked rental house we have stayed in (3rd) the owners included everything needed to settle right in, including hand and dish soap, tissues, TP etc. They even replaced the propane tank on the grill within 20 minutes when it ran empty. We had a wonderful week, there was plenty to explore and do in the area and we had fun just relaxing at the cottage. The only thing I could complain about is the beach and water line are a little rocky so bring water shoes

Am glad you enjoyed your week at our cottage! The water level was unusually low for the end of summer 2012. The water is normally several feet higher and you would not have had any problems with the small rocks.

Wonderful Vacation

Beautiful, quiet lake with plenty of space for your vacation. Owners provide everything - even wood and fire pit and gas and charcoal grills; and even the morning paper. Lots of room in the house and loved the screen-in-porch for times when the bugs are out. And most surprisingly thing of all - the beds were very comfortable. Usually complain about bad beds in most hotel rooms. You meet the nice owner after you get in and never see them again even though they live around the corner but they are easily accessible. Would definitely return.

My husband and I spent a week here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The house had everything we needed if we wanted to stay "home," but was also a great location if we wanted to head out. The house was exactly as described. We loved it!! Can't wait to go back!

Great Stay! They've thought of everything and I mean everything. I would highly recommend to anyone needing a place in this area. 2 small nitpicks 1) need a bigger TV I know I didn't come to watch TV but we do watch news weather etc. and a bigger TV would be appreciated. 2) Towel hooks or a towel bar in the bathroom as there was nowhere to hang your towels.

Maine family vacation

We stayed at this cottage just last week. We had a great time. It was very comfortable and cozy. It had everythig you will need, including linens, beach towels and alarm clocks. There was a inexpensive place near Swan lake Grocery, which sells lobster. We had lobster 3-4 times that week, not including in resturants. I woke up to beautiful views of the lake right from my bedroon window. Just to let you know the beach is technically private but does adjoin the neighbors. This should not influence your decision to stay here though, as it does not impact your space or good time. You can even have bon fires on the beach. We did have to buy wood since the wood in the area was wet from the rain, but wood was cheap. Close to Belfats and Bangor. Bar Harbor and Acadia only ailttle over 1 hour to reach. Lots to do and see. Very relaxing and was the best vacation we have had in years. Would recommend booking for a GREAT time.

Back to Maine in Style

We come back to visit our family in Maine about once every 3 years. We have always wanted to rent a place on Swan Lake so everyone could come visit us during our stay. This was our first time to do so. We were not disappointed in any aspect of our week. The cabin was roomy, beautiful, homey, and very well-equipped. Frank loved having a daily newspaper delivered to him to read as he listened to the loons. This was a perfect time of year for us since the mosquito population was almost nonexistent! The cabin exceeded our expectations. We would recommend it to everyone...in fact, Frank's brother from New Hamshire says he is going to try to rent it next year for his family vacation.

Great Family Time

This trip was amazing. It was our first time in Maine. WOW! The cabin was perfect for us. Completely stocked kitchen, right on the lake beach. Our boys loved the rocks to climb on. We had bon fires a couple of times. Great location to explore the coast as well. Don't miss Acadia National Park. Lisa, was wonderful and right there to help us with dvd issue. They went right out and bought a new one that same day. Great location and Great people.

Perfect getaway!

This cottage is so lovely hidden between trees right next to the lake with private beach. Everything is in the cottage you need to cook, play, relax, bbq... We loved and were not happy to go back home as the week had ended way to early! The owners are so friendly and always available with any questions. The location is great, short distance to Belfast, Camden, Rockland,... The cottage has been updated and renovated, feels like your walking into a summerhouse from the movies. Definitely a recommend for everybody!

We stayed at this amazing lake house in July for a week. The owners have left no stone unturned: loaded new kitchen with everything you could possibly need for entertaining including a lobster pot, crackers and serving dishes. Did I also mention the stainless steel appliances and dishwasher?? The beach is quite big and the view is gorgeous. The property is large and great for entertaining. It is also quite private and quiet. There is a fire pit on the beach and they even supply wood! We have already booked for next year :-).
