Description of the Swan Lake vacation home rental

This three bedroom lake house is located on a private road with easy access from Rt. 1&3 in Belfast. Fully furnished with what you need with BBQ grill on the deck overlooking your own private beach area as well as lawn chairs and picnic table. This home has everything you need for an enjoyable week at the lake including bed linens and towels. There is a dock to fish from or to tie up your boat. Our home is located on a very quiet and family friendly area on the lake. Great place to relax and enjoy mid-coast Maine.

Rates apply to a total of 8 overnight guests. If more than 8 overnight there will be an increased rate of $25.00 per person per night.

A limited number of day visitors are welcome with our approval.

We manage this property ourselves. You will not be dealing with a rental agent. We live right nextdoor where we can be reached if there are any problems.

Area Information

We are centrally located in mid-coast Maine 10 miles from Belfast where you can enjoy lobster dinners, scenic boat rides, unique shopping and restaurants. Rockland, Camden, Bar Harbor & Castine are all easy day trips with lots to see on our beautiful coast of Maine. Fort Knox State Park is 30 minutes away and a great place to spend the day as well as Penobscot Marine Museum in nearby Searsport. This area is also a great place to shop for antiques and unique items.

Beautiful Relaxing Vacation

August 22, 2011

We stayed at this lake house for a family vacation with our children and grandchildren. The area offers something for everyone. The boys went golfing while the girls went to the many art shops in Belfast. We also visited the Penobscot Bridge and Observatory, very nice, and while we were there the kids explored Fort Knox. The area was also great for my training for a 10k that I have in the future. Sunsets at the lake house were just beautiful.

Morning Lake

We spent a week on Swan Lake and were very happy with the cottage. The view of the lake in the morning was beautiful and sitting on the porch with a glass of wine watching the sunset on the water was outstanding. It has everything that you need for a relaxing vacation - we're used to a more secluded spot, but even with the neighbors close by, you get a fairly good feeling of privacy. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck reading. Loved Belfast - interesting walking tour and be sure to visit Youngs Lobster Pound - BYOB and sit outside at night to see the lights of Belfast - what more could you want!
