The view on the lake is pure tranquility, we saw a bald eagle and loons daily. The sounds of the loons are the only noise we heard at times. The cabin is laid out extremely well capturing lake views from all rooms. It's done in a rustic comfortable motif. It entertains easily due to the great layout. Lisa left plenty of towels and the kitchen was well equipped even with all the necessary tools for cooking up live Maine lobsters. Lisa was very accommodating in helping us get settled in with locating a boat ramp that serves the lake. I would love to return to this cabin in the fall again, the colors were gorgeous. Swanville Grocery located just 3 miles from the cabin had an amazing selection of everything we needed. Belfast Maine on the coast was just a 15 minute drive to some excellent restaurants and Bar Harbor was a very aesthetic drive an hour and 20 minutes away.

The cottage on Swan Lake/ certainly is in a beautiful setting. The sun on the lake in the morning and night cannot be beat. The lake is lovely, but when we were there it was too cold to take a swim. The canoe and kayak were available for us, right on the dock, but we did not take advantage of it due to the chilly weather. It was quiet, and we saw and heard the loons every day.
The directions were spot on, and we had no difficulty following them. The cottage is quaint--an old refrigerator (which works better than some new ones), and the stove was not new but worked very well. (We cooked many of our meals there.)
The gas fireplace felt oh so good, and did heat the whole cottage up.
The bathroom is small, but adequate, and the shower sure was nice and hot.
We had a lovely time, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
