I took a terminal friend here for a few days to get him away from his usual surroundings. We were very comfortable and loved the serenity, view and surroundings. Douglas, the owner, was very helpful and understanding. I hope to return someday under different circumstances.

Our stay was very nice. We had a wedding in the vacinity and we were able to come and go to all of our functions which were close by: Marine View Presbyterian Church and the Browns Pt. Improvement Club. It was a great location to relax during a busy weekend with a great view! We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We enjoyed a very comfortable week at lighthouse view while conducting business in Tacoma & Seattle. The view is great & the house was clean, spacious and very well equipped. There is nothing to complain about and we would definately book again.

We spent a lovely month visiting with our daughter and her family, who live nearby. The Lighthouse View rental was perfectly located - the views from the apartment's living room and deck are spectacular. The local amenities are too many to name - but the Dash Pt state park and Tacoma (Ruston Way) waterfront are two areas where you can really enjoy. The Point Defiance Zoo and park are also amazing. The diner is a great place to eat - and Gino's Bistro has a wonderful "small town" feel with great food and libations. Thanks again to the Hughes for a great value and wonderful month of memories!

We loved the Lighthouse View so much that it was difficult to leave! It's spacious and clean with many generous provisions that made us feel at home: games, books,DVD's and more. The sprawling deck is fabulous, providing an unobstructed view of beautiful Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, and a perfect place from which to relax and watch sunsets. We will definitely stay here again. The hosts are wonderful!

My family and I spent a week at the Lighthouse View the last week of August and had a wonderful time. We will go back to WA one day and would like to stay again. The house was lovely inside, the views spectacular, and the porch was very large. The kitchen was very well equipped and we also used the outdoor BBQ. There is plenty to do in the nearby area and it is in a good location for sightseeing Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and Rainier.

This was a great place for our family to stay. Great view! Enjoyed watching the eagles and other various birds. The sunset was fabulous and the location was just perfect with the activities we had planned.

A most enjoyable stay with welcoming hosts. We were visiting Seattle from France to visit our son who was just leaving the Navy before returning to Boston. The
apartment was beautifully located and very comfortable, well-placed for access to the Olympic Peninsula. The local diner comes highly recommended.

We spent a restful week at the lovely Lighthouse View, using it as our home base for exploring the Seattle Tacoma region. Browns Point Lighthouse and Dash Point State Park are each a reasonable walk for a day's outing , and Seattle and Tacoma are easily accessible by car. Each night, the sunset was a little different, and we spent many an evening sitting on the private deck watching the boats, the sun, the birds and the lighthouse, and generally enjoying the gorgeous view.

We enjoyed our visit very much. This is a very well equipped vacation rental. The view from the unit and the cedar deck is spectacular. The location was good for us too. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

This house is truly a home away from home. It is a clean and comfortable walkout lower-level apartment with full kitchen and living areas - the best part being a large deck with gorgeous sunset views. It was perfect for our family of 4. Great location about halfway between Seattle and Tacoma. If you want to hang out closer to home, it's within walking distance to Brown's Point (where the lighthouse is) or a short drive to Dash Point Park which has a beach and hiking/biking trails. Federal Way is a few miles down the road for groceries and dining. Douglas and Nita, thank you so much! Our friends that visited us were very impressed and will also suggest your home for their out-of-town guests. You have a beautiful home and we were sad to leave. We'll definitely stay at the Lighthouse View during our next Washington trip!
