Hi,
This is Dave. I'm the proprietor of this "luxury" cabin in the woods located in Tahoma near the town of Homewood and the Homewood Ski Resort (West shore of Tahoe).
This is one of the best deals you will find in a vacation rental at Tahoe. Our own "blood, sweat and tears" have gone into making this a very hospitable cabin stocked with all the amenities and fully furnished. Includes both gas heat and a wood stove with plenty of wood. Remodeled bathroom (handicap accessible), completely new kitchen area with new microwave, new gas range, new cabinets/counter, new fridge, etc. New living room furniture, and relatively new carpet are also very nice. Main level bedroom has 2 twin beds. The loft is a second bedroom with a queen size bed. Sectional couch and 1-2 air mattresses provide sleeping for up to 2 more people (Licensed to accomodate up to 6 people and 3 vehicles).
(NEW)-> Washer/Dryer stackable units are in!!

It is nestled near the end of the street right next to Sugar Pine Point State Park. Walking trails are found in the park. A hidden beach can be found across West Lake Boulevard from Sugar Pine Point State Park as well as cross-country ski trails along the lake shore.
Homeowner beach with buoys and a dock is available and accessible at the foot of Pine St. No boat launch there however.
The cabin's long, deep driveway is good for a boat trailer.
Wheelchair access via ramp to back deck. Note: the ramp will not be cleared of snow in the winter months. Bathroom is also handicap accessible. Doorways are 32 inches wide.

This is a perfect little place to stay! Off the main road with access to Sugar Pine State Park only a block away. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. I recommend this to anyone seeking a quiet get away! I can't wait to visit again!

The stay was excellent. It was more of a retreat then a vacation. The cabin was everything we expected.

The cabin was absolutely charming, comfortable and very clean. I will absolutely rent it again. The owners were wonderful to do business with. I liked the idea of talking directly with the owners than having to go through a renting office. My family and I had a great time while staying there.

Love this place. Nestled in a nice quiet neighborhood on the West shore of Lake Tahoe. This place is cozy and small. Perfect for a small family getaway. We had a family of 5 there and it worked perfectly. It's great because it's close to many outdoor activities. The cabin itself is cozy, very clean and while it is old, it has been well cared for and modernized where needed. When we were there we already were planning our next trip there this winter!

The price and condition of this rental make it a great value. The property is super clean and very comfortable. I understand the owner is adding a laundry which will enhance the comfort and value of the cabin.

I have spent a number of cozy winter vacations here - snowshoe rental and trails right down the street from a comfortable, warm cabin and ski areas close by. It is a great escape where friends and family can gather. The owners, Claudia and Dave, are accessible, want their guests to enjoy themselves, and see to it. Good grocery, restaurants and coffee houses on the way to and from, make the stay easy. I know I will return. Ellen R., Auburn, NY

This is a perfect little place. Everything you need; except linens as described by the owners. It is a simple little cabin. If you are looking for a luxury cabin, this is not it. Its location is in the middle of the west bank of Tahoe, makes it a great location to explore north and south part of the lake. In addition, the restaurants/stores and parks in town are all great and people very nice. The neighbors are out going making it feel like home. The owners are friendly and very helpful. We plan on spending more time at the cabin in the future.
