Description of the Tallahassee vacation villa rental
Beautiful, Plantation Home patterned from the European Villas of Italy. Designed by Atlanta's noted Neo-Classical Architect, Neel Reid in 1915, this residence is a unique example of Classical European Manors with its high ceilings, French Doors, patios, sun and sleeping porches . The grand scale, typical of Neel Reid's
architecture, is breathtaking. Off street parking, a Porte Cocher, , enchanting rear gardens, majestic Oaks all return the visitor to the era of grand style. Its front hall, used as a dance room for weddings and entertainment, echoes with the acoustical qualities of the piano in the Tudor style, grand living room. This is ideal for musical soirees. Years ago, our children learned piano and violin there and they still return to enjoy the beautiful sounds from that Kimball piano that seem to linger in the living room and hall. The house is a timeless treasure and one you enjoy. It sits on two thirds of an acre on Route 90, Washington Street several blocks west of the downtown, Monticello Opera House and the gardens extend to the rear street. The property is private with a rear palisade fence and gate. It is twenty minutes east of Tallahassee via I 10.
