Reviews for this vacation home rental in Tamarindo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Wonderful and relaxing
February 13, 2013
We were two middle-aged couples and the two master bedrooms with accompanying master bathrooms, one on each floor, gave each couple complete privacy. The house was well equipped and the private pool in the back yard was amazing. We literally lived in the backyard under the cool patio with its ceiling fans. We were entertained nightly by the howler monkeys who dropped by around 5pm. we also saw a scarlet macaw in the tree. The ocean is a short five minute walk. There is also a corner store a few minutes away where you can buy most everything. The best place to grocery shop is at the super mercado in Tamarindo, a $6 cab ride away. We felt very safe with Manuel on duty from dark to dawn. Also, Alonso, the property manager, was very nice and helpful in organizing excursions and even drove us to a local doctor when one of our party injured his foot. Another must is the Coco Spa, owned by the owner of Brises del Estero. Tamarindo is a 15 to 20 minute walk away by road and 30 to 40 minutes by beach. If you plan on walking to town make sure it is early in the morning as it gets very hot. Two restaurants I would recommend for dinner that are walking distance away are Captain Suivo and the Langosta Beach Club - both excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house for a party of four. One thing -use hydro sparingly as you are charged if you exceed the daily limit. We only turned on the air conditioning in the bedrooms at bedtime and we stayed within the limit.

Surfing and Relaxing
May 31, 2011
We came to Tamarindo from Canada to enjoy surfing in warm water (where you don't have to wear a full wet suit) and couldn't have had a better time!! We rented this house over the internet and it was perfect from the day we checked in. The house has two bedrooms, both equally comfortable with bathrooms right outside each one. We spent a lot of time in the pool and on the patio enjoying watching the wildlife in the backyard (plenty of birds and even a few monkeys). The house located close to a corner store and a sports bar (where we were able to enjoy the start of the Stanely Cup Playoffs!). The walk into town is easy and there are plenty of places to enjoy a nice meal and a drink as you watch the sunset!!
