Area Description
The sweeping view overlooks a pasture where coyotes, red-tail hawks, and the occasional eagle can be seen and heard. Living in Taos is about becoming one with the big sky and the rhythms of nature. Why rush?
Enjoy the seven-tenths of a mile walk into Arroyo Seco for a latte and egg sando at the Taos Cow, a breakfast burrito at Abe’s Place, or a Cubano sandwich at the Maverick Café, then pick up a few groceries at Sol Food, the local health food store. For dinner try Sabroso’s delicious bar food, often accompanied by piano music, or its gourmet restaurant. Go a little farther down the road towards the town of Taos to The Old Blinking Light for great Mexican food and burgers or to Pizzanos for Italian food and pizza. There is no better location or house!
Skiing, white-water rafting, hiking, biking – all are minutes from your doorstep. Head into Taos for shopping, museums, and gallery hopping. See the Taos Pueblo. Travel to surrounding areas to explore Abiquiu, home to Georgia O’Keefe, Santa Fe with its galleries and shops, and try driving the high road between Santa Fe and Taos for gorgeous views, the Chimayo Sanctuary, and art galleries and stores.
