Area Info
Tarpon Springs is a unique tourist location on the west coast of Florida. Without large hotels or motels, the area remains unspoiled and retains its rich personality as the largest Greek community outside of Greece. Street festivals, Greek food, gift shops and music abound. Visitors will find great shopping, authentic foods and items from Greece, beaching, parks, charter boats and private boat rental, great fishing and more, in a more laid-back manner than busier places in Florida. History enthusiastics will enjoy the antique district and restored historical buildings, providing a venue for restaurants, a winery, art galleries and tavern on original red-bricked streets. Original Victorian homes line the many bayous around town, and much can be viewed by foot or on the Tarpon Trolley.

Several sight-seeing boats provide excursions of the river and gulf. The scenic Pinellas Trail (a 30 mile path that runs from Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg) is great for walking, jogging, running, biking, and rollerblading. Rental gear can be leased downtown at Tarpon Tom's, from scooters to kayaks. Fishing gear and bait can be purchased from the Bait Bucket, just a 1/2 mile from the home.

Tarpon is home to many churches of many denominations, including the beautiful St. Nicholas Orthodox church that hosts the annual Ephiphay dive for the cross each January.

This was our first stay in the Tarpon Springs area. We went there specifically to go fishing. The house exceeded our expectations. It was great coming home and just relaxing around the pool. We'll certainly consider returning again next year.

Wonderful!

What else can I say, from the moment you walk thru the front doors you will appreciate this beautiful home. It has everything you will need on your vacations, great for families. From a fully supplied kitchen to the large family room with furniture that makes you feel at home. The pool in the backyard is a wonderful place to relax and watch the boats go by. You can also go fishing from your backyard if you want, plenty of space to drop a line. Many days we found ourselves wanting to stay home and just enjoying this home, it’s very relaxing. The owners of this home make sure you feel welcomed and are great to work with. We will be returning to this home when we come back to Florida

Nothing Missed

July 2, 2012

We required a rental last minute. Kerri was fantastic. This home has everything and then some! Every little detail was thought of. The house and grounds are gorgeous and located very conveinently to anything you require, including fun touristy things near by ie: Sponge Docks, The Junken Treasure. Would recommend to anyone!
