Living room has queen size pull-out couch.
Lower bedroom- 1 queen size bed and has own full bath.
Upper bedroom - 1 queen size bed/large picture window overlooking the lake.
Upstairs Open Loft - 2-single beds and one full bathroom for both rooms upstairs.
Many more extras-including a boathouse with bunks for kids to stay (two additional twin beds, toy room).
About 15 minutes from East Tawas!

If you want to relax...

...go to this house. Very clean. Nicely furnished. Very nice and accessible owners. The beach can be a bit muddy in parts, but seriously - who cares. Step over into the sand and walk for almost 200 yards and the water might get to your waist. There's a hose outside to wash mud off your feet. My dog loved being walked off leash in the morning and sprinting through the water. Go here is you have pets. There are two bedrooms int he house and then two twin beds set up in an alcove on the second floor - so house itself sleeps 6. Then there is a "boat house" that has two bunk beds. Would be perfect for young teens. Au Gres itself is a small quiet town, which was exactly what we were looking for.Half hour north are Tawas City and Oscada if you are looking for more to do. I had a great time. Thanks Jerry and Jerry!

The place was very nice and clean when we arrived. Not sure where the other full bath was suppose to be, as it stated a 2.5 bath, there is only 1.5 baths! There is a lot of sleeping space, bunk room and 2 bedrooms. The living room is absolutely huge! All in all we had a great week end! Thank You!

Perfect for Us

My husband and I plan an up north adventure each year. We have not been to this area of Michigan and Lake Huron and decided to enjoy a week on the more casual East coast of Michigan. Everything about this location and Lake House was perfect for us. The Lake House is level to the Lake front with a wonderful sandy beach perfect for long walks and and camp fires at the beach. I love the generous size kitchen with everything we needed and most of all the fantastic cedar wood enclosed porch/ sunroom which is where we spent most of our time while indoors. The wooded lot next door adds for privacy and wildlife watching of eagles, wild turkeys, and more. White swans and black swans swam by daily on the Lake. Idyllic and serene describes this time of year (just after Labor Day) at this Lake House. Local restaurants serve wonderful home baked goods which we quickly discovered! This location and Lake House exceeded our expectation! As owners of vacation rental properties, we appreciate the attention to detail and comfort for guests that we found here.

Our family was impressed, from the overall first-impression to the warmth and hospitality of this home . The owners made this a first-rate experience with their efforts to make it feel like you were in your own vacation home, right down to the "welcome package" . The beach is great and the water is shallow enough for young ones to play in.

We spent a week in this lovely house. The owners have attended to all of the little details that made this a perfect lake destination, including providing beach and bath towels. The house had space to spread out and has plenty of privacy from neighbors.(2.5 bathrooms extra nice) plus a great sandy beach. The weather was superb too. I loved listening to the waves at night from the upstairs bedroom and watching the Egrets on the shore.

We had a peaceful and relaxing time at the Lake House. Nicely furnished and my mom who is unable to walk on her own was able to join us - it was pretty easy for us to navigate through the house and to the beach. My English Bulldog, Tootie, absolutely loved the beach. I think she was very sad to go home. I loved watching the thunderstorms rolling over Lake Huron at night. Thank you for your hospitality! Rae

We just loved this home and beach. The home was big enough for everyone to spread out and had everything you needed to be comfortable and the water was warm and shallow for the kids. Any questions we had were answered promptly from the owner. We can't wait to go back again next year! A big thank you to the owners!
