Truly Amazing Tel Aviv apt. for Responsible Ppl (#42945)

Description of the Tel Aviv vacation apartment rental

After months of searching I've finally found the apartment of my dreams in Tel Aviv. Now I'm searching for something new: someone who'll take it (and pay the rent) while I'm travelling in South America (July, August, September 09).

Let's start with some details about the apartment. It's a huge (50 meters) studio apartment on the top floor of a building in a great location (Jabotinsky, minutes from the beach and every other place of interest around town). It also has a private roof (another 20 meters) with a great view of the city.

Inside, it's in excellent condition. Wood floors, electric window shades, a top-notch kitchen and a bathroom that's straight out of the catalog (and I don't mean the Ikea catalog. We're talking fancy here). It is also, of course, fully furnished and with good taste.

It is, in short, a great place.

As mentioned, I'm planning a trip in the summer and I'm looking for someone who'll replace me in the apartment, pay the rent, and most importantly: treat it like a careful neuro-surgeon. This last point is critical: I'd rather rent it for less to someone I trust than make money on someone who'll make me worry.

The amount I'm asking for is $1000 a month, which is pretty much equivalent to my rent+water, electricity, and internet. Compared to everything else out there, this is very little. Most short-term touristy apartments go for 3 or 4 times as much (and for an inferior places).

The reason I'm asking for so little is because I want to pick and choose someone who is really, really responsible. What I'm looking for is:

a) Someone who can talk to me before he gets here, and preferably, someone who has relatives or friends in Israel who can vouch for him/her. This will give me a better sense of the renter, and will also give him/her a better sense of the apartment and me.

b) Someone who'll stay in the place for as long as possible. In other words, I'll prefer someone who'll take the place for the full 3 months over someone who just wants it for 2.

Area Description

This is Tel Aviv. The greatest city in Israel and, IMHO, one of the best in the world. You'll be minutes away from every point of interest in the city, including the beach, all the major shopping locations, the park, everything.
