Area Description

Skiing close by: The expert skier as well as the novice will find plenty of ski resorts nearby to choose from. They offer slopes with several degrees of difficulty and a wide range of lessons for beginners.

Dining and groceries within 10 miles: Shiro: This Japanese restaurant offers Hibachi and Japanese cuisine in a very refreshing family atmosphere. The chef prepares your meal in front of you and performs tricks while doing it. Kids and adults alike will enjoy it. You can find menus and business cards for Shiro in your local information basket. Mount Airy Casino: We find the buffet at the Mount Airy Casino a very good value for its type. It offers a good variety of Asian, Italian, Seafood and American cuisine at about $20 per person. Although a bit pricey, RED steak house at Mount Airy offers (in our opinion) the best fine dining experience in the Poconos. Pizza delivery: There are several providers in the area. Business card magnets for some of them can be found adhered to the refrigerator. Shoprite Supermarket: 7 miles, at 89 Route 940, Mount Pocono, PA 18344 US. Wal-Mart Supercenter: 7.3 miles, at 500 Route 940

We spent 8 days in July 2009 at this lovely home. The house was clean, comfortable and far exceeded our expectations. My family, including my grandaughters loved fishing off the deck, canoeing and kayaking in the lake. We took a day trip to Bushkill Falls and ate at the local restaurants. We also went to the casino. The master suite was wonderful. We totally enjoyed ourselves and will definetly rent again. Thank you Jackie!

This home is excellent in every way , the owners are very accommodating , the location was great , the neighbors are friendly . Our grandson was on the lake every day either fishing or on one of the four new boats . This lovely home features a new grill , tables and chairs , swings , picknick table , and that just on the deck . The interior is beautiful , nicley furnished , decorated to make you feel at home . Two large tvs , plenty of room and very clean . It is obvious the owners take great pride in this home. The view from the lake is breathtaking . Will be back again soon.

Our stay in February at this lake house challet was filled with total relaxation and enjoyment. The home was exactly the quality as displayed in the photographs. The bedrooms where extremely spacious, especially the master bedroom. The home overall was clean and well kept. The property outside of the house even though we were there in the winter was evacuated of all snow and well groomed. The driveway was spaceious enough for 3 cars.

Our stay was also more pleasant due also to the fact that the owner was very cooperative and easy to contact. Every question we had was answered either by phone or by email within 24 hours. The owner fully stocked each bathroom with all needed toilettries and even left some food for us in the kitchen.

The owner was also helpful to the extent that there was no need for us to do prior research for activites and things to do in this area because the owner left us a full cabinet of brochures of all local events and activites.

The only downfall we found was that to get take out food delivered to this location was near impossible. Not many restaurants in the area delivered here.

We would definetley recommend this property to friends and even plan on staying here in the future.

The home was beautiful. It was clean and well kept. The amenities were great and was beyond my expectations. The owner is wonderful and very accomodating. I would surley rent again and recommend other to plan a stay. I felt at home, safe and was well relaxed. Thanks for having such a beautiful home.

The house was better than expected. Its in great condition, fully furnished. Its about a 30 minute drive to snow mountain. Most of all, landlady was extremely nice and kept good contact.
