River Rest is a two-bedroom property located in a quiet neighborhood on the banks of the South Fork of the New River. Wake up to rays of sun streaming into the valley and have your morning coffee on the spacious deck overlooking the river and plan your day. Take a morning walk or early day bike ride (4 bicycles in the garage) along the scenic 11.2-mile Railroad Grade Road. Then, perhaps visit quaint historic downtown Todd just 4 miles away or other the towns of Boone or West Jefferson, each located less than a 30-minute drive away. In the afternoon sun, you may decide to walk out the front lawn and step down into the cool river waters or utilize one of the tubes (also in the garage) to take a leisurely float. In the evening, turn up the gas log fireplace or spend an evening around the fire pit located just a few feet from the river. Home features two bedrooms (one queen and one standard bed) as well as pull out couch in the living room to sleep a maximum of 6 guests. Hi-speed DSL provided as well as TV/DVD player. *No cable or satellite TV available. Bottom floor of cabin is in long-term lease. Vacation rental only includes top floor.*

Located in the Historic Todd area, this property is minutes away from flyfishing, tubing and kayaking on the South Fork of the New River. Property is easily accessible to both Boone and West Jefferson, area ski slopes, Elk Knob State Park, Mt. Jefferson State Natural Area, Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
