Rancho Santa Cruz is a relaxing and secluded retreat, perfect for a tranquil vacation. The Ranch has 220 meters of beachfront property, including private access and long stretches of white sand beaches perfect for sun tanning, playing bocce ball and frisbee. As you walk the short 50 meters from the house to the ocean, you 'll pass under the grand palapa canopy where two hammocks hang, waiting for you to read your favorite novel or take an afternoon nap. For the surf lovers, Rancho Santa Cruz is located only 500 meters from the famous La Pastora surf break. Then, once you come in from your day at the beach, relax by the jacuzzi and enormous swimming pool (60 ft. x 30 ft.), complete with beach entry and swim-up bar.

As you walk into the house, you are greeted by a beautiful 8 ft. tall cantera stone fountain in the entryway. From this position, as you look upward through the atrium, you 'll see a glass-tiled skylight that is fully retractable (this is great on warm summer nights). On the ground floor, the house has a full kitchen, living room, bathroom, fireplace, and both an indoor and outdoor dining room that opens up onto a downstairs patio.

Walking up the glass-tiled, wrought-iron stairway to the second floor, you 'll find 4 bedrooms, each with its own private bath, fireplace and balcony (all have ocean views). Lying in bed in the morning, you can see the waves breaking on the shore, and every night you 'll fall asleep to the calm sound of the crashing waves. Often, you can watch the whales breech as they migrate down the Pacific Ocean and into the Sea of Cortez. There is also a sitting area with oversized leather chairs and a flat screen TV.

Continuing up the stairway, you 'll walk through century-old ranch doors onto the rooftop terrace. From here, you can enjoy 360 degree views of the Ranch, the ocean, and the Sierra de Laguna Mountain Range. At night, I love to turn on the gas fire pit, sit in a big wooden chair with a glass of wine, watch the sun dip into the Pacific Ocean and enjoy the spectacular night sky filled with bright stars (it is just amazing how many there are without the light noise of a big city).

Todos Santos is located 50 miles north of Cabo San Lucas on the Pacific Side of the Baja Peninsula. It is just 60 minutes from the La Paz Airport and 90 minutes from the Los Cabos International Airport. Todos Santos is a charming colonial Mexican town (often compared to Santa Fe, New Mexico) and home to many artists and writers. It has a quaint authentic Mexican culture, yet still feels safe and clean. It is home to the famous Hotel California, 22 art galleries and several other upscale restaurants (Italian, Seafood, Wine Bars). The Ranch is located 5 miles north of the town center.
