This apartment is located very near to Nakano train station. It's about 5mins walk from the apartment to the train station and it's only 3 station to Shinjuku train station. It's also very convenience if you take subway from Nakano station to airport. There are lots of shops and restaurants near by and it's very convenient for us to shop for grocery and hunt for foods. This apartment is small but complete with everything that we need. The kitchen have full set cooking ware and we can cook for our breakfast/dinner every day. And the most important is this apartment is very clean and well maintain. We will stay here again if we visit to Tokyo.

A great little apartment! We stayed here with our two sons aged 5 and 7. It was great to be able to cook them dinner and have breakfast before we went out. There was enough floor space for them to play with their toys and the air condition kept everything nice and warm when it was snowing outside! The kitchen was fit out with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. The wireless internet was a huge bonus too. We used our JR passes the whole time we were there and the Supermarket made grabbing dinner on the way home easy. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tokyo.

This was our family's second holiday visit to the apartment in Nishi-Ogikubo, our 'home base' in Tokyo. We'll definitely be returning again. Nishi-Ogikubo is a charming and interesting residential area with shops, trains, parks right nearby. The apartment is cheerful, very clean and has every home convenience. Naturally on a Japanese-size scale, but our family with 3 children managed very comfortably. The 24 hour Seiyu supermarket on the doorstep is a great bonus! Makoto is so welcoming, professional and hard-working; a pleasure to deal with.

Upon arrival “Mac” Makoto met us at Nishi-Ogikubo station. Mac was a great guide; helpful (maps, guides and sight-seeing information), knowledgeable and extremely polite. The apartment was located less than 200 yards from the station (don’t worry. You don’t hear the trains!). The apartment had a great view across the city and is 1-2 minutes walk from a whole host of noodle bars, restaurants and other great places to eat (It’s also 30 seconds from a large, 24hour supermarket, if you fancy eating in) The apartment itself was fantastic – Western-style, but with authentic Japanese touches. It was immaculately cleaned, comfortable and perfectly located for exploring Tokyo. The rooms all had air-conditioning and a great balcony for sitting out on of an evening. The well-organised kitchen was ideal for eating in, equipped with a sizeable fridge, cooking utensils and a great gas dai (2 burner gas table). Nishi Ogikubo is a great district of Tokyo, quiet and pleasantly suburban. After spending a day in the city, you’ll appreciate the tranquillity of the apartment. The best endorsement we can add is this : as soon as we, we are returning to Japan and we will definitely be using Makoto and his company again. Thank you.

Loved this little Tokyo-area apartment. The location was perfect for access to the city and it is a fantastic neighborhood worth exploring for its bakeries and antique shops. One thing that I don't think was mentioned in other reviews is that Nishi Ogikubo is a JR station, so if you are using JR passes while you are in Tokyo, you can travel almost everywhere for "free" just by flashing your JR pass. The apartment is small, but comfortable and has everything you will need. It is very conveniently located in the center of town a step from a 24 hour grocery and spitting distance to the train station and other conveniences. Also, if you are sending luggage to your next destination, there is a friendly Takkyubin office (Black Cat) nearby. Ask Makoto, the excellent fellow who will show you the place and tell you everything you need to know.

I stayed this little nice appt with my 2 daughters. Our stay was very pleasent and we enjoyed everything there. It's very conveniet location and short walk to train station. Mr. Makoco met us in the train station and gave us all the tips when staying Tokyo. He was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Tokyo next time.

We've been to this apartment twice now; it's perfect in price and location!

The apartment was cheerful inside, but the outside entrance and views from the windows were dismal. The facilities were clean and pleasant, and the location was good, with the train very close, and the immediate neighborhood interesting to wander in the evening. The place is small though, and the extra futon bedding provided is not as comfortable as some of the other places I've been. The bed itself was fine.

Your place in Nishi-Ogikubo was truly a home away f/home! It had all the amenities available plus more. Of most importance for me was the internet and the vacuum cleaner. Everything else truly spoiled me. What I thought was so generous was a big of rice that lasted me the whole 10 days. Plus, I never ran out of toilet paper, shampoo/soaps, and condiments. Makoto was caring & full of info just like a concierge. He was so gracious w/giving me a CD & plum wine for my friend when they bumped into each other at the supermarket. The location of your place was awesome...so convenient to Shinjuku & the Yamanote Line. Nishi-Ogikubo itself was a city that wasn't overwhelming, but still busy & had everything there so close by including a 100 yen store that I love to shop at. Seiyu supermarket just seconds next door was visited on a daily basis. I even bought mittens & a hat at the department store next to Seiyu. (It was so cold there with a couple days of snow!) I SURELY will stay there again!

The apt was excellent--the grocery store next door was extremely convenient and we bought dinner there each night; the train station was just 2 minutes away and on a major train line. The apartment was well-equipped and had some staples like coffee, tea, and soy sauce available. It even had airmail envelopes and scissors, glue, tape, etc. The washing machine was a lifesaver in the Tokyo heat. Of course, it was small, but that's to be expected. Things to be aware of (if you're used to American amenities): there's no dryer, so you need to dry your clothes outside, or there's a laundromat next door. Cold-water wash only, which doesn't get some things clean. The bedroom is about 2-2 1/2 times as big as the living area. The windows are frosted glass, so you can't look out. Nonetheless, this apartment was absolutely a great option for us (me and 2 children) and I would definitely recommend it and use it again-much better than a hotel! Makoto is very helpful and speaks excellent English.

First off, the place was great. All the amenities you would need for your stay. Utensils down to a lint brush. The location was convenient, super close to the train station. It's far better than staying in a high end hotel with little amenities and space. The local 24hr market was a plus. We frequented there as they also have a bakery inside. The market had a yakitori, katsu, sushi, and takoyaki food booth. Overall a wonderful experience. The station had escalators and elevators, perfect of us as we had heavy luggages. Would love to stay here again.

My family spend our holidays in Nishi-Ogikubo apartment. We are warmly welcome by Mr Makoto. He is very helpful and has provided us some travel guide and tips. The apartment is very clean and all the facilities are available. Great location with resturants, shops around and easy access to anywhere. The 24 hour supermarket less than 3 minutes from the station and the apartment. The apartment made us feel at home. We would love to return to Japan and would stay once more in the appartment and would have no hesitation in reccomending the appartment and the excellent service there.
