Quiet Tokyo Apartment 7 Minutes from Central Tokyo (#4858)

Write a review There were 3 of us. 2 shared a bed and 1 used a futon. Loved the 24 hr supermarket as well as the bakeries and stores in the area. Makoto was great. He met us at the station and walked us over. Gave us a ton of useful information. Definitely a plus for the first timer to Tokyo. The only thing I'd like to note is that one of the pillows for the futons was a bit worn and did not look very clean. Since we only used one futon/pillow it wasn't that big of an issue. Also the internet router is really short so you can only use the laptop on the coffee table. Internet speed was okay. Otherwise, great amenties. Clean kitchen and bathroom. The washer was useful. I'm happy we chose an apt over a hotel. This was definitely a good find. The apartment is located in a nice place next to the Nakano station (at 5 minutes from Shinjuku) There is a mall and lot of restaurants. The flat is confortable, you can easyly cook. Makoto gaves us very usefull information about commodities and activities in Tokyo. We are satisfied. The apartment is very well located. Being next to the train station is superb. The nearby services are excellent. Makoto was very helpful and ready to help out in any way possible. The apartment is an excellent value and has all the fixtures necessary to fully live life. Would stay here again without qualification. We had a great time. We just loved NAKANO! Makoto was really helpful. I definitely recommend this apartment, as it is exactly what you need for exploring the real Tokyo. This apartment is located in a great area. It is close to everthing one would need including a 24 market with a small department store. Train station is only minutes from the unit and owners provide you with everything you need to make a home and your stay as easy as possible. We loved the area and close proximity of rail station, post office and food eateries. Apartment is a winner in our book and our host were kind enough to provide maps and lotsof information on Tokyo as well as locate sites. Great place to stay for 3-4 people if coming to Tokyo. 3 of us stayed here and loved it!!! I'd recommend this place any day over a hotel! The apartment is cute and clean, and it has everything you could need. I brought my laptop to take advantage of the free internet access. Th location is great - 5 min walk to the subway, which is very close to the other lines you need to access. I also liked being close to the modern/nightlife districts (Shinjuku, Harajuku, Roppongi), instead of in the older part (Akasuka, Ueno). The Nakano neighborhood was one of our favorite parts of this! Charming and authentic with lots of nearby restaurants and awesome local bars. Makoto was incredibly helpful, and went above and beyond his job to make sure we were comfortable and knew our way around. Before we even arrived Makoto emailed us a bunch of useful info (directions, etc), and we always got a prompt response to any questions. This place is great, and I'd definitely stay here again! This is a great little apartment for 2. Minutes of walking to pretty much anything. Lots of great local restaurant nearby, or if you prefer franchised McD or KFC, those are not far either. The apartment is way better equiped than any hotel you ever visit. Even has a toaster over, great for heating up some late night snacks from the super market that closes at 1am. Will definitely will stay there again on my next visit. Do wish they will get a wifi router and a non sofa bed. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of these apartments for 16 days while in Japan. We really enjoyed it. Though the bed and bathroom were small (by American standards) the place on the whole was perfect. On the porch was a small washing machine-- a huge bonus! We both adored the Nakano area with all of the shops and restaurants. Also, the train station is very very close. Lastly, the person assisting us, Makoto Kuno, was a big help, friendly and attentive. We would totally stay here again if visiting Tokyo. We had a great time using this apartment as our base. The suburb of Nakano offered many dining options and the location proved convenient to experience both the hustle of the inner city as well as the different experience the outer areas provide. I would definately stay in this area again. The Apartment was small but perfect. Every necessary household item was there. The neighborhood is full of great stores and fantastic restaurants. The best part was the staff, Seiji San & Makoto San are super cool !! they were ready to accommodate us at the last minute, super helpful and very very friendly. We will be back Next year ! For the price of less of 2 nights for a hotel room in Tokyo we stayed for 5 nights at this apartment. A true delight, and really made our first time in Japan an authentic experience! If you are into being with the locals I recommend this apartment. It is small, but so is everything else in Japan. But the convenience and the wonderful hospitality of the manager will have you wanting for more! Ask me any questions you have I will let you know! I look forward every day to get back to my home away from home in Nakano-Ku Tokyo! My husband and I stayed in the Nakano apartment for 18 days in August. The location is great and Mr. Makoto KUNO is friendly and helpful. The apartment is very clean. It even has a tiny washing machine! The only possible complaint I have is the bed is a little small for two people and not very comfortable, but overall wasn't an issue. I absolutely recommend staying here!
