Richard found me on LinkedIn after I asked for information regarding traveling in Japan through the Japan Group; am I glad he did. Richard and I agreed dates and prices for rental of one of his apartments which was clean, comfortable and fanatically accessible to the rest of Tokyo and Japan.
I gathered enough specialist traveling information to make my stay not only far easier but incredibly cheaper. I loved my stay in Tokyo. I have to say that Richard made my stay so much more enjoyable and I cannot recommend staying at Tokhouse more. Richard will always give you solid information and his knowledge of living in Japan is invaluable whether you are staying for two weeks or two years. Thank you Richard and see you again soon.

Tokhouse has been the perfect door we needed to have to meet in Tokyo. As our first time in Japan, it was the perfect place to start our journey and with everything we could need to do it. Very comfortable and well equipped, I spent some of the best days of my life there. Richard is an awesome host and person too, he's one of the most memorable things I'm going to keep from Tokyo. I know I'm coming back to Japan, and I know it's gonna be to Tokhouse again.

Richard was very helpful and he showed us around the neighborhood after we checked into the apartment. The place was very convenient and we can find anything we want in the neighborhood and everything is so much cheaper here. There's a wholesale supermarket nearby where we can find anything to bring back home and its so cheap compare to the other supermarket or shops. Richard was very kind to help us bring all our luggages to the train station on our last day in his place and we were very happy with his help. We will definitely go back there again if we want to stay in Tokyo the next time.

Richard was a very considerate, helpful, and knowledgeable host. His house is well-appointed, and would sleep 6 in the combined space of the loft and 2nd floor. He provided us with a great map, hints about the local neighborhood, and the place is easily accessible from the Yamanote JR Line, between Nippori and Nishi-Nippori stations. He has a laundry washing machine, which we found lifesaving! From Narita, there is an express train which would put you at the station in about 35 min. but we had JR Passes, so used the JR lines, which took a bit over an hour. Would definitely recommend his place!!

We (group of 6) stayed at Tokhouse at the end of December. Great location in a charming area of Tokyo, conveniently located close to the JR Yamanote line. House was beautiful, heated floors, heated toilet seat, what else could you ask for? All the amenities of a hotel, but with much more character. Richard was very welcoming and accommodating, gave us a tour of the neighborhood & recommendations, and was always available for questions. Thank you so much Richard!

Absolutely Fantastic and Value for money for overseas visitors.
We stayed 8 days at Tokhouse and have paid three time less money than a hotel. The house is new and clean, the location is great, very short walking distance to train station and shops, friendly and helpful landlord, we had wonderful time, I will recommend to all my friends. Thank you Richard, you will see us visit again.

My family of four stayed at tokhouse for 7 nights and we had an enjoyable experience. Located at a charming quiet neighborhood, we got a taste of Japanese everyday life by living and buying our groceries amongst the locals. Conveniently located, we were only a short train ride to most of Tokyo's attractions. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. As a host, Richard was professional and efficient and was very helpful to ferry our luggages from and to the stations when we arrive and depart. I have to say staying at Tokhouse was one of the highlights of our Tokyo holiday! I will definitely recommend Tokhouse for it's great location, good facilities and excellent host.

We had a very good time at Tokhouse and Richard showed us a great hospitality. We rent Tokhouse for our private party and it's very comfortable for. Located near the main station and supermarket. We could use a great kitchen and stay over night after the party! Thanks,Richard!
