Perfect Get-away

My husband, our Golden-Lab and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at this wonderful, beautifully located cottage. The cottage was secluded, comfortable, cozy and clean. We have always loved the beautiful Lake Michigan sunsets, so we were thrilled to be able to watch this awesome sight from either the balcony or down at the beach. We took many long relaxing walks on the beach. We saw an Eagle and her two babies feeding on a sandbar, deer in the woods surrounding the cottage, and many types of birds. Wish we could go back next week!

Memories for a Lifetime!

This cottage is nestled perfectly on the shores of Grand Traverse Bay and the owners, Ken and Madeline are absolutely great and very accommodating. We went in knowing the cottage was a little small, but we left feeling it was perfect for our needs, especially knowing we would spend little time inside. The weather was gorgeous (a few days of light rain) and the water temperature was amazingly warm (record temps.) Our dogs loved it and slept for days when we finally arrived home. Walks on the beach and watching the sunset was a must nearly every night soon followed by campfires and smores. The views on the deck while chowing down on that home-cooked meal made for an easy way to unwind while discussing the days activities. We highly recommend this site for a family or small group of friends, especially those with dogs. They will love you for it. There is plenty of room to roam and take walks or bike rides or even visit any of the small towns nearby. We even found ourselves settling in on some chairs on a small sandbar out in the lake nearly every day (make sure you bring water-shoes as it is a bit rocky in places.) There is plenty to appreciate about this place and we hope to head back next year. In fact, the place was so perfect, I decided to propose to my girlfriend... thanks again, Ken and Madeline!

Great escape from reality

We had a wonderful time at this cute cottage. It's private but still close enough to great attractions. Nice beach but rocky so bring beach shoes. The cottage itself was nice and had all the amenities you'll need for the stay. We would recommend you to try this if you're looking for a peaceful escape from the everyday life.

Amazing place !!

We drove 13 hours to get to this cottage and it was worth every minute of it ! we stayed a week and never got bored. The cottage is small but very clean and comfortable. There is everything you need to prepare a nice meal to eat on the porch while looking at the wondefull sunset ! The beach is sandy, very quiet and so beautiful ! Bring watershoes because there are rocks in the water. The water is very clear. They provide chairs to use on the beach. The firepit is perfectly placed to hear the sound of the waves while grilling a marshmallow. We have rented many cottages before and this was our best experience ever. On a rainy day, we visited a nice fisher village, called Leland, where we ate fresh fish and did a little shopping. I would recommend it. About an hour and half of drive. Thank you very much for this experience Ken and we will surely be back and recommend it to our friends and family.

Just enough room for 2 adults, 2 teens and a 90 lb. Golden Retriever. We enjoyed the week we spent here; the beach is beautiful! Quiet, quiet, quiet! Exactly what we were looking for! Ken was very easy to work with.

Anniversary Escape

My wife and I celebrated our tenth anniversary at this nice little cottage. We had a great time! The property is very secluded and provides a perfect escape from everyday life. It is a very reasonable distance to the beach and the water, which was a good temperature in early August. The second story deck provides an ideal perch for watching the sun set. The cottage itself is nice. The only downside at all was the lack of air conditioning as the weather did get sticky. It is a great place to take your dogs. We have two large dogs and they had a blast swimming and roaming the beach. I am not sure who had a better time. Us or the dogs. The ground under the water was rocky in spots so it is helpful to bring swim shoes. This is definitely a place we would consider going to again. It is in a great location in the state being only a short drive to Traverse City. Thank you for the awesome vacation.

Peaceful Week

My husband, dog, and I had a very relaxing and peaceful week at the cottage. We all enjoyed the long walks on the beach and swimming in Lake Michigan. My dog swam for the first time and loved it. The campfires at night were also wonderful. The close proximity to Torch Lake made it possible to spend a couple days experiencing this beautiful lake. We ALL had a GREAT time!! Thanks Ken!!

My husband and I, and our perfect canine - Georgia Peaches :) had the pleasure of staying at the cottage this past week. It was very relaxing, peaceful and comfortable! Just what we needed on a vacation from our jobs. The view was out of this world as well as the walks on the beach. I can't say enough about how enjoyable this past week was. We have to add the Cherry Pie we got down the street and G's pizza in Traverse City was fantastic. Thanks again Ken & Madeline for being so extremly great and lending out your home so we could have one of the best weeks.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Kids n dog loved it. Surfed the waves, hunted petosky stones and wandered the beach. One mile away was torch lake with a great public launch with swimming, volleyball,playground and swim area. It was like the Bahamas without the passport, or hassle! Liked its much we contacted a realtor. And Ken was great ! Thx Ken!!

Relaxation/Peaceful

We totally enjoyed our vacation. The cottage was clean, neat, secluded, peaceful, quiet and centrally located for day trips into nearby towns. Beach was great for long walks, rock hunting (Petoskey Stones) and wildlife. Water had some rocks near the beach but just a short distance out a sand bottom made for excellent swimming. Owners for very honest and great to work with. The cottage is recommended.

From beginning to end, this trip was perfect for the whole family, including the dog. Communication and representation was first class! We will always remember the good quality time we spent overlooking the lake, watching the sun set, bonfires and eating smores.
