Description of the Townsend vacation chalet rental

Come and enjoy the mountains in our log cabin home, Knotty Pine. 3 Bedrooms each with their own bath make this cabin stand above the rest. Each room has a view of the mountains. The master suite has French doors onto our wrap around deck for a private entrance. The master bath has a jetted tub to help you relax. Or you can head outside to our hot tub. The upstairs bedrooms have lodge style furniture with king beds.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, ice maker and disposal as well as all the dishes you will need included crock pots, coffee makers and toasters. Gas grill and outdoor dining are just a few steps away through the french doors from the dining room onto our large deck. Large TV with VCR and DVD players and a selection of tapes and DVDs. Summer pool privileges available and we are only 5 minutes from the areas best golf course.

Area Description

Townsend is just 5 minutes from the Great Smoky Mtn National Park and 25 minutes from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Enjoy all these tourist towns have to offer while staying on the Peaceful Side of the Smokies in our cabin. Biking on the 9 mile Townsend Bike trail is less than a mile from our home. Hiking, Caving, Tubing and Whitewater Rafting are all available in the area. Cades Cove the most popular area of the Park is just 10 minutes from our home. Come and enjoy the Peaceful Side of the Smokies at Knotty Pine!

Townsend has some of the best places to eat in the Smokies, many with free live music! Outdoor activities abouind in the area with none of the Crowds of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, yet close enough to enjoy them during the day, then come home to the peace and quite of our city. Townsend features the Outdoor Passion Play during summer and fall weekends.
