On those cool evenings, gather around the fire pit and roast some marshmallows with the kids. While the kids are sleeping in the morning, get that first cup of coffee, grab a chair on the deck and enjoy the sun as it rises across the lake. Once everyone has started the day, take your boat and head out to the lake for some swimming or skiing.
No need to walk down to the lake like you would have to with many homes on the lakes in the Traverse City area. The lot is flat and long....a large backyard ajoining the lake. Plenty of room for the kids to run and play.

We took our two sons to this cottage for a week. The sandy beach and shallow water area by the house make for perfect play time! There's also a great swing in the back yard for watching the sun set. The house is located on a quiet peninsula which is perfect for walking/running. There are also several great restaurants not far from the cottage. I highly recommend the 20 minute drive to Moomers for some ice cream. There's nothing better!

Very nicely redone home. Unfortunately we were there when the temp was in the 90's. Inside the home, the temp was usually higher than outside and the humidity was 90%. Area is lovely. Great place to stay in Fall or Winter.

The house exceeded our expectations! I was a little concerned renting a house sight unseen but Ken was great about answering all my questions and we were very pleased upon our arrival. The pictures accurately portrayed the space and the direct access to the lake was very relaxing. The house is located in a very quite neighborhood that is safe for bike riding and enjoyable walks and is ideally located between Interlochen Arts Academy and TC. If you’re a parent of a student attending IAA or IAC you will be very happy with the proximity to the campus. We were able to enjoy our daughter’s graduation festivities and still have enough time left over to take in several of the local wineries on Old Mission Peninsula. Looking forward to returning to the house again when our son graduates from IAA!
