Description of the Treasure Island vacation cottage rental
The cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a combination kitchen, living and dining room. There is a futon which will sleep two adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, refrigerator and a new stove. All bed linens and towels are included.
You can relax in the sun and water all day and cook a good dinner or go out to eat in the evening. Treasure Island is known for the many restaurants serving local or foreign dishes.
We are located in the center of seaside attractions like watching dolphins from a boat trip, or a dinner cruise with music and dancing. Deep sea fishing and para-sailing are other activities among too many to mention
If you like to gamble, there a casino ship which sails out into International waters and provides a wonderful buffet of numerous dishes.
Some of our guests tell us that this is:"Paradise Found."
The International Airport in Tampa is one hour drive from the Island. Busch gardens in Tampa is a Zoo but different in the fact that people are driven around in cages and the animals are free in their natural habitation.
Disneyworld, Universal Studio, Sea World etc. are located in Orlando, a two hour drive from Treasure Island.
Area Information
The East coast of Florida has a long string of barrier Islands stretching along the coast and connected to the mainland by bridges.
If you like summer vacation, we can offer anything you want in water sports.
If you want to dress up at evening time, we have several hundred places you can dine either in an evening gown or shorts; whatever you prefer.
If you have children who want to go to Disney or Legoland, it is within reach. If you want to swim with the dophins or manatees, you can do that. If you want to visit real Indians, the Seminole Indian Reservation is located East of Tampa.

Calm, relaxing getaway for 2

Being the first time on Treasure Island, I was pleasantly surprised to find a non-touristy area of Florida. I'm not sure how it is like during summer months but April seemed to be the best month to be there. The condo was clean, recently refurbished with all amenities including beach chairs and a freezbie to boot. And walking 2 minutes to a beach where you can see dolphins swimming in the morning, have a glass a wine in the evening and take in the clean water and sun during the day was absolute heaven. Thank you John for providing a great place to stay! We hope we can come back again soon!

A very peaceful retreat

We had a very peaceful time at the cottage it had everything you needed for cooking and for sunbathing at beach e.g chairs, and beach towels there was seating also outside cottage so you could sit at night time and watch the sun-set. The location was perfect also for beach and other emenities.

We are in the middle of our month stay at Gulf Spray Condominiums. So far, the stay hs been a true delight. This quiet little cottage is so close to everything it's hard to believe it can be so peaceful. I can walk to the beach in about 2 minutes. We can walk to a nearby restaurant on the beach and drive to the shopping areas easily. There is always plenty to do in Treasure Island and the surrounding cities. We are so happy with this rental that we are hoping for a repeat next year..

We enjoyed our short stay so near the beach. The cottage was carefully decorated in the European style and equipped for many cooking needs. We had the feeling of per-commercial Florida, just what we wanted.

We stayed in August 2012 for one week (vacation) in the beautiful nice cottage on treasure island. It was our first booking over Vacation Home Rentals and we were very curious how easy it was to book and to get there. The owners Gitta and Michael told us everything that we need to do over E-Mail. The contact was very nice. When we arrived at the cottage. Michael was still repairing a lamp. They always look after there cottage and make things new or repair old things very soon. When we first enter the cottage we thougt “WOW” what a nice place! Everything was decoratet very nice and harmoniously. You realy feel like you were at home. The space in the cottage was enough for our little family (2 Adults / 1 Child – 7 Years old / 1 Infant 11 Month). In the kittchen was everything. We also found oil and other things that you need for cooking there. So that is good because you only have to buy the food and not every little thing in the supermarket for cooking ;-) We missing nothing in the cottage! If you want to go to the beach you just have to walk 3-4 minutes over the street and than you are there! That was very good for us. Because if you need anything (food/drinks/ or stuff for the kids) you just walk a few minutes back and get it ;-) The part of the beach is also very nice. Only a few people are almost there (it is not crowd on that beach). No jetskis that make noise etc. Just relaxing and enjoying a beautiful day at the beach ,-) The best thing came at least of our stay at the cottage. We were invited for dinner with the owners Gitta and Michael. And that is the best thing! You can not book that in a travelagency! The experience to get invited to a american family was very interesting for us guys from germany and we had a lot of fun with them. We still have contact with them over Facebook. And what do you want more? You book a great vacation, had a great time in treasure island and have at last nice new friends in the USA. So don’t look longer after a other stay, book the cottage and you will never regret it!

Perfect Location!

My husband and I and our four pound dog spent ten days at Gitta and Michael's adorable cottage June 2012. If you are seeking a cute well stocked cottage in a friendly area steps from Sunset Beach, this is the place for you! The walk to the beach takes only 2 or 3 minutes! Heaven Close to Home!

My family spent an absolutely LOVELY weekend at your wonderful Cottage and I want you to know how very much all of your special little touches meant to me. To actually have all the accoutrements necessary to "whip up something to eat" for a bunch of happy beach lovers was great. The amenities were so appreciated; plenty of linens, too. It was charming, clean, and cheerful and i can't wait to return...I can still hear the seagulls and smell the Gulf! I loved the quaint and serene setting, away from the bustle of Gulf Blvd. and all the tourists. Your decor was delightful and felt so homey. We were privileged to get a first hand detailed story from your Jade!! Thank you for such a treat; only one problem: WE DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE! I highly recommend your Cottage to anybody who loves the beach as it was before all the highrises took over the horizon. This is the perfect getaway and yet convenient to all amenities needed for complete comfort. We'll return!!

The Cottages are picture perfect. I thought I was in Paradise. The dream beach place.I loved it . No joke. I loved it. And the people that ran the place are the best people I've ever met. And the other vacationers that stayed at the cottages we,re also the best. I'll never forget that wonderful place. A place where dreams come true. I wish I was rich enough to buy one,lol

We have stayed in the area several times but by far this was the best location. Walked to the nearby boardwalk, beaches & restaraunt/bar daily. The cottage was just what we needed & evenings were alot of fun hanging out with other cottage renters.

Very nice area for a great trip away. Quite with water on both sides of you (within walking distance). Michael and Gitta went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great! Lots of great beaches and shopping close. Thanks for the fun time and letting us stay in your home we had a blast!
