Description of the Troncones vacation villa rental

Merece Tus Sueños is a small tropical resort in the quaint village of Troncones. Troncones is a fishing village on the Pacific coast of Mexico. This pristine beach area is highlighted by a coastal mountain range as a backdrop. Troncones is located approximately 20 kilometers north of Ixtapa.

The resort has a four suite guest house and a small private bungalow. There is a separate fully furnished kitchen building, swimming pool, and patio for guest use. Our resort was just completed in the spring of 2007. The open air design and traditional Mexican architecture make our resort a unique vacation destination.

There are three sand beaches in the Troncones area; Troncones beach, Manzanillo Bay beach, and Majahua beach. Our resort is located on Manzanillo Bay. Between the beaches are volcanic rock formations with tidal pools filled with colorful tropical fish and sea life. Manzanillo Bay is the ideal beach for swimming, boogie boarding, and surfing. It is pristine and uncrowded. It is dotted with several restaurants, so it is easy to spend the entire day there.

The Troncones/Zihuatanejo is renown for its world class fishing, from Sailfish, Rooster fish, Dorado to monster Marlin. Trips can be arranged locally or from Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa.

The Troncones area is a surfer's paradise with numerous uncrowded locations to surf. The uncrowded surfing is known throughout the surfing world.

Five beach restaurants are within a 10 minute walk on the beach. In addition, Antonio makes great fire cooked pizza on Fridays and Saturdays at Yoga Del Pacifico, a few doors down. Make sure to check with Antonio what he is cooking up.
There are 20 additional restaurants along the beach within a 10 minute drive. Most restaurants do not take credit cards but will gladly accept U.S. dollars currency. You will find a variety of eating establishments from fine dining to traditional Mexican fare. There is something for everyone.
Of course there is always staying in for the evening and cooking the local fare.

Watching for the 'green flash' at sunset is an ongoing guest quest. You can either watch the spectacular sunset from the patio or along the beach in front of the resort.

Merece Tus Suenos should receive a six stars out of five. We have traveled extensively in Mexico and this is hands-down our favorite place to stay. The house has great space, the outdoor kitchen and pool-side palapa is perfect, and the place is incredibly private. You could easily stay here for weeks without leaving, as the tortilla motorcycle, fruit truck, and beer truck make stops every couple days at the house if you request. There is a small, local fishing village a few hundred meters down the road with nice chefs that will cater to your needs. (We are vegetarian, and upon learning this, they asked for a days notice and began to prepare great meals).

For great meals, however, Mayra and Jose (the caretakers) made one of the best meals we have ever had. They will set up fishing trips, horse rides, whatever you need - and they are incredibly sweet, caring people. They have children the age of our children, who got to play together most days. A great family....

You will have as much privacy as you want or as much help as you want. And the house/view/location is unmatched. The owners are also incredibly helpful (who bumped into us on both stays in Mexico. We had rented all the rooms for our entire family for one Christmas, then my wife and two girls were so enamored with the place we came back two years later).

We can't wait to return..... It really is like a dream.

Q:Is Troncones safe?

A:Yes. It is a very safe community that we and our guests walk anywhere at anytime. A great community; the locals are wonderful friendly people.

Q:How is the food?

A:A great selection of local resturants-about 10 within a 5 minute beach walk and another 20-30 within a 10 minute drive. PLUS we get fresh warm bread every other day at our gate, fresh fruit and veggies every other day at the gate, the beer truck twice a week, fresh lobster and fish at the gate and more

Q:Where can I surf?

A:We have a break right out in front of our place for good surfers, there are two other breaks within a 10 and 20 minute walk. There are a number of other places to surf within a 1/2 hour drive
