Description of the Truckee vacation home rental

This charming northwoods-styled home is fully furnished and decorated with a mountain motif. Our home can sleep up to 18 people and is perfect for large family gatherings, family reunions, multi-family get-togethers or large groups. It is located on a quiet private street. This is a three level home that features a huge great room with gas thermostatically-controlled fireplace and master bedroom both with 22 foot vaulted ceilings. The sleeping areas include four bedrooms plus a loft and family game room. The home has three and a half baths and features a jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen with knotty pine cabinets has upgraded stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There are three decks, two of which overlook a greenbelt with trees, a meadow and a seasonal stream behind the house. This is a perfect spot to enjoy the summer wildflowers and songbirds or stroll on the wooded path. In the winter the greenbelt draws the adventurous for sledding or snowshoeing.

Area Information

The home is located in North Lake Tahoe's historic town of Truckee, California in the exclusive "Tahoe Donner" resort area. It is close to year-round outdoor and leisure activities. World-class skiing is within 15-20 minutes including Squaw Valley, Northstar, Apline Meadows, Boreal and Sugar Bowl ski areas. Our local Tahoe Donner Ski Area is only one mile away and is perfect for family ski fun. The Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski facility with its extensive world-renowned trail system is just a five minute drive. Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake are close by for water and beach activities. Coyote Moon and Tahoe Donner Golf courses are both within 5 minute from the home. Reno casinos, shopping and night life are just 45 minutes away.

Cabin stay in Truckee

Couldn't have had a nicer experience. Everything was perfect and extremely comfortable. I don't think there was one thing that we needed that wasn't there. The town of Truckee was close and so were a lot of the ski resorts- Sugarbowl, Alpine, Northstar and Boreal. Travelled to Tahoe, also in about 50 minutes. You could easily keep entertained without going anywhere, though, with a pool table, multiple TVs, and a nice fireplace. Would highly recommend this cabin.

It is a good size vacation home for our party of 18. The house is clean and neat, nice kitchen with all the supplies and utensils we need. Although the recreation club house is a little bit too clouded, our group had a good vacation there.

Owner's reply:

Amenities at the recreation club house are open to guests with the passes provided at the home. Trout Creek Recreation Center includes a large pool, adult lap pool, Childs wading pool, adult-only spa, Family Spa, Steam Room, Dry sauna and Fitness Room. On weekends the club house can be a bit crowded.

Perfect home for our large Family. We had a great time.Enjoyed having lots of toys,eg,pool table room,tennis table,basketball stand,bikes,golf clubs,etc. Home is nicely appointed and comfortable. Heavy tree pollen was a bit of a problem( Mother nature at work). Great location. We would return.
