Description of the Tsfat vacation villa rental

Villa Tiferet

Looking for a serene Israel vacation with a touch
of class and history? Step back in time 400 years. Our holiday home is located in the Artists’ Quarter of Tsfat (we know it’s confusing, but this charming town is also spelled Sfat, Safed, Tzefat or Zefat plus many other variations!)

Villa Tiferet, a large, self-catered kosher home, is ideal for a family vacation in Northern Israel. The three bedrooms sleep 11 comfortably (or 13 with 2 couch surfers).

A romantic getaway, couples look forward to late afternoon, sitting on the rooftop watching the sun dip behind the mountains.

Upscale Venue for Entertaining
Ideal for upscale entertaining, the main house features dramatic stone vaulted ceilings, a large dining area and state-of-the–art modern kitchen.

Planning a bar mitzvah? Thinking about celebrating a bat mitzvah or family reunion? Consider Villa Tiferet as a great venue for your celebrations. It is also perfect for Shabbat and holiday entertaining.

Central Location in Tsfat
Our unique vacation rental is steps away from the shops of Safed’s main street and a five-minute walk from the art galleries and ancient synagogues, including the famous Ari Ashkenaz and Abuhav shuls.

Visit in August for Tsfat’s Klezmer festival when the sleepy town comes alive with open-air concerts. Or come for Lag B’Omer and visit Meiron. As bonfires, blaze, join in the festive dancing and singing in Meiron and Tsfat.

Or come for a winter getaway and sit beside our cozy fireside. During Chanukah, walk the cobbled streets and gaze at the beautiful menorahs flickering outside stone homes.

Visitors looking for a short-term rental in Tsfat will find a special ambiance year round at Villa Tiferet.

Area Information

Great Base For Exploring Northern Israel

Villa Tiferet is also a great base to explore northern Israel including the Galilee and the Golan. Go bird watching in the Hula Valley (spring and fall are spectacular times to watch the migrations), enjoy wine tasting at local wineries, swim or boat in Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and visit historic Tiberias. Meiron, the burial place of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai is a 15-minute drive away.

For the active, there are great hiking trails and mountain biking routes nearby. Horseback riding ranches are also close by. In the winter months, sledding and skiing down the ski slopes of Mount Hermon are an hour away.

More about the owner
  • About:

My husband and I moved to Israel with our four kids from Toronto in 2005. Soon after making aliyah we spent a Shabbat in Tsfat and absolutely fell in love with this magical hilltop. Within a few months we were fortunate enough to buy a home in the old city. For years we have been coming up from Ra'anana...
