Riverside House in Turrialba, Cartago

On the bank of the the Rio Colorado, this house allows one the opportunity to enjoy local attractions, such as the central farmers market, CATIE, botanical garden, white water rafting, and be in a typical tico neighbourhood . A large deck overlooks the river, a perfect setting for reading or relaxing, and at night the sound of rushing water is accompanied by frogs and night birds in the 40 foot bamboo trees lining the river. A large swimming pool and several "pulperías" are a 5 minute walk away; the town centre and all shopping a 15 minute walk. Recommended for those who want to appreciate the local culture and also have access to all tourist attractions and shopping easily.

Turrialba is located in a valley, with picturesque views of mountains in all directions, including the active Volcán Turrialba, which can be seen from outside the front door of the house. The area is famous for its cheese, sugar and coffee , and the Guyabo National Monument, ancient archeological ruins located close to the town
