Description of the Twin Lakes vacation home rental

Anchor Inn Lakefront Home in Twin Lakes WI. This charming 4 bed, 1.5 bath home is located on thin strip of land with water on both sides! One side has association beach with sandy swimmable area and other side is the large back yard with private pier. Amazing views from inside and out. Home is spacious 2200 sq feet, 4 bed, 1.5 bath with large dining room, living room, two sitting nooks, and sun porch. Back yard has plenty of nice outdoor tables, chairs, adirondack chairs, picnic table, propane grill, swing, hammock, boccee, croquet, canoe, and firepit. Kitchen has gas stove, dishwasher, stove, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, etc for 10 persons. Basement has newer washer and gas dryer.

Area Information

Twin Lakes WI is 60 miles north of Chicago or 10 miles southeast of Lake Geneva WI. The village of Twin Lakes has 2 spring fed lakes, Lake Mary and Lake Elizabeth. Both are recreational boating and fishing lakes. 350 and 650 acre lakes. Village has 1 grocery store, about 10 restaurants and bars. There is also a bait store for fishing needs. Very close (15 mins) to Lake Geneva WI for great shopping and activities. During the summer, the Twin Lakes Aquanuts perform their water ski show every Weds and Sat at 6 pm. Northwoods feel but only 2 hour drive from Chicago IL

Great property, average house

The property itself was wonderful. The views of both lakes were unbeatable. We were disappointed in the house. When we first arrived it had a horrible smell. Also the dishwasher was broken and had a lot of standing water in it with a lot of mold. Overall we still had a great vacation.

Owner's reply:

The smell likely came from the dishwasher, which was missed after the previous renters. I immediately had my cleaning person visit the home during their stay and took care of the issue. Won't happen again.
