Description of the Tybee Island vacation condo rental
Heavenly Corner is a beautifully undated condo with all the conveniences of home. The kitchen has a dishwasher and small appliances you would expect and some you might not expect. The waffle iron helps with a quick inexpensive breakfast and the crock pot will allow you to cook your evening meal while you play on the beach.
Heavenly Corner has secured WIFI.
We have a maximum of 2 occupants in this condo.
Everything you'll need for your vacation is provided except food and your bathing suit. Beach chairs and beach towels are provided for you. You have a generous supply of bath and bed linens so you don't need to bring extra towels from home.
The living room has a TV/DVD/CD combo and we even furnish a nice selection of DVDs and CDs for your enjoyment.
Our snowbirds, especially, will appreciate the large closet in the hallway to provide plenty of storage and space for hanging clothes.
Area Information
We're located about 15 miles east of Savannah and we're the last stop on US Highway 80 before the Atlantic Ocean.

I'm very familiar with Tybee (used to live nearby) and was returning to Savannah from Texas for a conference. Where else to stay to enjoy the most solitude and the best views of the shipping lanes and shrimp boats,.. the Beach and Racquet Club! This corner condo on the third floor was picture perfect. Bed comfy and sheets must have been 1000-thread count. The pots and pans in the kitchen not cheap camping quality but top flight,-- but why cook at all with all the great restaurants on Tybee!? We couldn't figure out the TV remote and Patti had maintenance there to assist lightening quick. The river side of Tybee is to me to be much preferred over the denizens of the strand. If you love to watch shrimp boats, cargo ships, a few families at play, the tide ebb and flow,...and feed cat food (or leftovers) to a few beach cats,... and the pool is probably the best on the beach as well, then the Savannah Beach and Racquet Club cannot be beat. I was concerned that being on the 3rd floor might pose a problem to my elderly friend, but there's a great elevator, so no worries. We even rented a kayak and guide to paddle out to Cockspur Lighthouse (look West from the deck here). If you go a half mile or so around to the east (by foot on the beach or car on the road), the sunrise is unbelievable,...who could sleep in? The sunset up the Savannah River is available from the very deck of this condo (unless you're at AJ's for dinner, which means you didn't have to cook and you're really on vacation...) The shrimp boat anchored at night with a crescent moon and Jupiter hanging over it to the west,...exquisite. I found a fellow follower of the beautiful out on the boardwalk with me with a camera capable of this shot. Call me envious. The shrimper's deck lights illuminating a spiderweb-like gossamer glow. Memories. The condo is gated, so no extracurricular traffic, rowdies, or such. We were there for the Beach Bum Parade (5/17) a party (of sorts) celebrating the locals turning the island over to the tourista for the summer season. No one leaves the island that day who has not been completely soaked with water rifles.... with one exception. My friend who wore his Korean War Purple Heart hat and walked with a cane..., the deference these young people showed him...was the epitome of Southern Hospitality. He hardly got a drop. (I was soaked) You can't beat the specialness of TYB. Stay as long as you can. ...Did I mention the dolphins?

We completed enjoyed our stay at Heavenly Corner. We loved the beach views, watching the ships, walking on the beach, sitting on the balcony. Everything was wonderful. We felt very safe, it was quiet and very relaxing. Thanks so much for letting us share your condo.

1217 Bay Street Unit B313 Savannah Beach & Racquet Club. This is the first time I have rented a condo for vacation. The management company employee (Patti) was very helpful. Suggest maintenance take a look at the sliding glass door to the patio, it was loose in the frame. We did have a couple of large roaches come in on us. On Friday 6/29 some of the neighbors starting screaming at each other about 12:30 at night. ( Not sure which ones but sounded like they were under us out on their patio). That was the only incident we had but it was disturbing. The room was clean ( which is a big deal for me). I will consider renting again and will recommend others to do the same.

Our Own Little Corner of the Beach

We had an amazing 6 weeks in Tybee Island. This condo had the most amazing view! It made even sitting on the couch feel like something special. This is on the quiet northern side of the island where you often feel like you have the beach to yourself (in the off-season). It was a short walk to some great shops and Huc-a-Poos (a bar/pizza place). It was easy to take the Island Hopper (golf-cart cab service) to the main drag to go out at other bars and restaurants. (Our favorite was Doc's.) We loved our stay in this vacation rental, and we fell in love with Tybee Island here.

This place had a great few of the Savanna river. Alot of wild life activity. And great sun sets. The place is a little small. Three to four adults is about all you could stand. A little loud on the balcony. Because of the pool beside you. But I got wi fi in the room because it was next to the pool. No washer or dryer on your floor you have to go the 2nd floor. I've stayed all over tybee in houses and motels this is my first condo and it was better than a motel. And this place is a great place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The condo was clean and very well equipped. The entire complex was well maintained. The views were absolutely wonderful. Watching the boats and the dolphins was so enjoyable and the sunset over the fort was stunning!

Perfect and Heavenly

The condo was very charming and had everything we needed. We loved the views from the deck. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular, and where else can you see shrimp boats anchored just outside your condo all night. You can relax and do very little, or try to see and do it all. While we were there, we eat at A-J's on the dock (very romantic evening dinner at sunset), the Crab Shack (You'll see real live alligators and eat great seafood. Was lot of fun), also Cafe Locos (next to Mike's Dolphin cruise), Sunday Cafe (great food), the Sugar Shack (ice cream), the Breakfast Club (you've got to try), Sunrise Breakfast (great buffet), Lighthouse Pizza and more. Toured Fort Screven, and Fort Pulaski (very interesting). Went on Capt Mike's Dolphin cruise (lots of fun). Enjoyed the walks along the shore in front of the condo and watching the crabs duck into their holes before we passed. Lots of seagulls and pelicans. Twice we went down to the pavilian on the southern end of the island and enjoyed walking by the shore where the big waves are. Also enjoyed just strolling through the condo neighborhood and looking at the 1-2 million dollar homes. We went into Savannah twice and enjoyed the trolley tour and an evening dinner cruise on the River Queen. Took lots of pictures. Made some great memories. My husband and I needed to get away for awhile to ourselves and Heavenly Corner was the perfect place. I wish we could have stayed longer. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We enjoyed our stay in our "Heavenly Corner" so much. Tybee Island is such a neat place with a local atmosphere that was so relaxing. Our condo was everything I expected. We had a problem with the handle on the patio door and it was promptly replaced when I called. I just can't think of anything that we didn't like about our vacation. It was great!

From the third floor balcony we enjoyed spectacular sunsets, beach and sea views, surfacing dolphins, passing boats and ships. Our 7-year-old granddaughter also enjoyed watching who was in the pool when she wasn't. We all loved being so close to beach and pool for easy access, no driving. The furnishings and kitchen were adorable and immaculate with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. This corner location is so much better than those condos that face the parking lot or are squeezed between other condos. And this north beach is more peaceful than the south. When we did get in the car, all our activities were a 5-minute drive away: lighthouse, Fort Pulaski, and Capt. Mike's Dolphin Cruise. Our granddaughter asked to return here every spring break and we agreed!
