Located on the natural and less commercialized end of Tybee, you will find not only beaches bordered by sand dunes, sea oats and forests but panoramic views of the shipping channel, ocean and tidal creeks which host sail boats, wind surfers, kayaks and beach combers.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the screened porch as you are gently awakened by birds and breezes from the near ocean. Plan a day of biking about the island or just cat napping on the beach with a good book as the surf laps at your toes.
There is no need to flip a coin to see who gets stuck on the sofa bed. Everybody sleeps great in this home. Sleeping for 10 includes a king master bedroom/bath with a private balcony to share some quiet time with someone you love. A futon in the master helps keep a smaller child close by. The 'kids' room sleeps 4 in bunks, a trundle and single sofa bed. It's equipped with games and DVDs for children and adults and has a private bath with shower. Two queen bedrooms and a queen sleeper on the main level share the 3rd bath.
The kitchen is spacious and well equipped for preparing everything from a picnic lunch for a day trip to the beach or a long bicycle ride to a low country boil featuring our famous Georgia Shrimp caught right off the nearby beach! Appliances are up to date and there is plenty of cabinet storage, a pantry and lots of counter space. The glass top table in the adjoining dining room seats 8 and a near by bar will seat 4 more. The open kitchen, dining and great room make entertaining easy for a crowd.
Grilling is another favorite way to cook our seafood (or a good steak or chicken!) so you may want to fire up the gas grill and prepare something new and tasty...fish tacos or grilled shrimp kabobs ? While your food is cooking enjoy a beverage and appetizers in the backyard on the lower, tree shaded deck.
Great conversations, game playing (and TV watching!) will happen in the large but cozy den which features comfy sofas, chairs and good lighting for reading a favorite book.
If you really want a nice tan, without leaving home, you'll find a great third level sun deck with a peak of the beach in the distance.
Just across from the house, you'll see a foot path that will take you to the north beach. Shipwatch is a private community so there is limited public parking in the area. This beach is not crowded at all! An outdoor shower on the rear of the house is perfect to rinse off at the end of your day on the beach.

LAC is just across from the foot path to the beach so you will enjoy that convenience with no parking fees to pay. Because there is limited public access, you'll find the beach is not crowded and much cleaner.
Tybee Island is only 3 miles long from beginning to end. You will find excellent restaurants from the first available turn on the Island until the very end at the back river. They are well distributed and easy to find.
We are very proud of our Tybee Historic Lighthouse. You'll find it around the corner from LAC. whether you're walking the beach of exploring the neighborhood.
Ft. Pulaski is a wonderful place to visit. The fort is well maintained and very interesting. I love sitting on the back side of the fort and watching the watercraft and dolphin (in season, of course - The dolphin go south when the water starts getting cold. )There are a number of nature trails throughout the grounds. You'll find a picnic area if you want to pack a lunch and spend the day. There's even a little place by the Coast Guard Station when you can fish off the bank. That's a secret to the island folks. The entire complex is clean and well kept.

|Other Fees: $175.00 cleaning and laundry fee. A refundable deposit of $150 is required with all reservations. Debra is very prompt in refunding deposit assuming there is no damage to the home. A non-refundable fee of $75 is charged for all approved pets. Weekly reservations only are accepted from May 24 until July 31. Arrival and departure is Saturday for this home.|
