....the Fall color is breath-taking here in east Texas! And Seven Pines Cabin is situated in the heart of these lovely hardwood and pine forests . Surrounded by hundreds of acres of virgin woodland, this beautiful 100 year old home offers solitude and privacy outside, and charm and lovely furnishings inside. Built in 1910,with long windows and high ceilings, this "dog-run"cabin with a long central hallway was designed to catch the cooling breezes from the front and rear doors. lt is truly reminiscent of a "low country" cottage in Savannah or New Orleans. From the spacious living room with its corner fireplace to the rear deck with its "deer watching" opportunities, this property has everything you need for a relaxing and memorable vacation. The main house offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, while the adjacent "Honeymoon Cottage" is a charming tin-roofed,cedar shake bungalow with 1 bedroom and l bath. There is a large dining room with seating for 8 and a front sunroom lined with windows that has a great breakfast nook on one end, and a cozy sitting area on the other that is a wonderful spot for bird-watching.The covered porch between the main house and the cottage has a hot tub for 5, candles and a chiminea fireplace for those cool Fall evenings. Whether you're looking for a beautiful spot for a family vacation, "girl's" Canton weekend, scrapbooking retreat or a romantic couples' getaway, you are sure to be pleased with your choice of this magical hideaway in the woods. Rates include rental of the entire property- main house and cottage.
Area Description
Santa Land, a spectacular drive-through Christmas light display is a 10 minute drive.The city of Tyler is 15 minutes away- with antique hunting, musuems, Tyler Rose Garden, Caldwell Zoo, and many museums, restaurants, and shops. Canton, Texas- home of the famous "First Monday" Trade Days, is a (scenic) 25 minute drive. Lake Palestine is also a short drive- and Garden Valley Golf Resort is only 10 minutes away. There are blueberry, blackberry and peach orchards just down the road for early summer picking. Faulkner Park ( in nearby Lindale)has a 5 acre fishing lake and lighted tennis courts in a beautiful wooded setting.
....Rates are $125/night on weekdays (Mon-Thurs) for up to 8 guests. Weekend rates are $155/night for 8 guests- with a 2 night minimum..... (You will be renting the entire property- both house and cabin). Holidays ( Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's are $185 per night with a 4 night minimum. Reservations will be confirmed on receipt of a 50% deposit.
