Girls Weekend Getaway

December 12, 2012

This was the perfect cottage for a girls weekend getaway to Michigan! We had 10 people (all coming from different locations) and the house was a great size to accommodate all of us. It is in a very convenient location to take a walk to the beach and easily get to the various wineries/restaurants of the area. We also spent a lot of time relaxing at the house which was just what we were looking for in the weekend. I would definitely recommend staying at the Beach House :)

Beachouse vacation Lakeside MI

We had a great time with barbecue on front yard. In may unfortunately temperrature of water in lake was not good for swimming but beautiful sandy beach, like in paradise. therfore jacuzzi was fine. House is having also bikes that we used and cycling along local roads with very low traffic is joyful. We also went running and it is beautiful, relaxing,

Thanks for the nice comments Miha. Miha and a few of his coworkers stayed with us following a conference in Chicago. I believe that qualifies him as being the guest that has traveled the most miles to stay with us. Miha stayed with us in mid May when the temperatures were still in the 70's, but it is not unusual to find people swimming in Lake Michigan on Memorial Day weekend especially if temperatures get up near 90.

Long-weekend getaway w/ friends

My group rented one of the units (unit B) in late September and it had everything we could possibly need. Close to the very nice beach, hot tub for cool evenings, lots of little quaint mom & pop restaurants with great food. The communication and transaction experience w/ the owner was also very smooth. Highly recommended for group/families of any age!

We had a wonderful time. The house provides all the necessory things from home: dishwasher, 2 bathrooms, and air conditioning. However, there were mousing remains in the silverware drawer and in the bottom of the stove. For this time of year, tht is unusual. Either the housekeepers are not doing a good job cleaning or There is still mice in the cottage from winter.

Our group of 18 recently rented this space. It was absolutely wonderful. Cottages were clean, very close to beach and town. It is always hard to find a place to accomodate 18 people. We would definately book this again.

Relaxin' Time

WE love going to Beach House A in Union Pier...have been there several years in a row. I love not having to clean up and work in the house. My kids love being with each other. We love having the above-ground pool which is a great after-beach location...kind of calms the kids down, and keeps them in one place!! Our older children love the way this location reminds them of our first home in Benton Harbor on the beach...the same feel of long days, clean, clear water, drippy ice cream cones, grilled hamburgers etc. WE LOVE IT ALL. Great Reception

We were at Beach House A Aug. 8 - 15 this year and had perfect beach weather every day. The house was clean and received us well, even a bit early. The people around were all friendly and received us well. Our son's wedding reception was held at nearbyh Tosi's and was a great reception. The cottage is in a convenient location, the proximity to the beach is good. The pool is a wonderful extra. Plenty of room, clean, well kept. Rental set up is very easy to deal with (all handled on line). We had a very relaxing time.

What charming cozy cottages. Thanks for all the little touches - the puzzles, games, books & extra blankets that helped make this a perfect weekend even though it rained the whole time. We loved it and will be back.

The pool rocks! We had an outstanding time. We used the grill every night. We got prettied up for Jenny's Restaurant.

The beach fireworks show was awesome! The weather was 90 - 100 every day! We played badmintin, went fishing and got a whole lot of sun. Our friends came to visit and also completely enjoyed themselves.

Winnie and Bear learned to fetch a frisbee and went swimming every night at sunset.

The only problem was the toilet we clogged but that resolved itself very quickly. Also did we mention how great the pool was? Thanks for the wonderful wonderful time. We will be back.
