Description of the Utuado vacation cottage rental

Riverwalk Cottage, a guest house studio for two, is on the property of Hacienda del Lago, Paso Fino Horse ranch in the Cordillera Central mountains. Surrounded by rainforest on the Caonillas River, the cottage is an oasis of privacy and serenity. The cottage has a Queen-size Bamboo futon, linens and towels,a kitchenette with stainless appliances; refrigerator, coffee maker, indoor/outdoor grill, toaster, juicer, dishware; the kitchen is semi-stocked, with coffee and teas, and fresh tropical fruit from our orange, banana, carambola and papaya trees surrounding the cottage.
The bathroom is tile and marble.
Outdoors find a charcoal BBQ, hammocks by the river, outdoor tables and chairs.

Utuado is from the Taino indian word, "utuao" meaning "surrounded by mountains". This plantation is in the tropical rainforest mountain and is resplendant with natural beauty and tranquility.
Local attractions are the Arecibo Observatory, Camuy underground cave system, Caguana Indian Ceremonial Park, Guanica Dry Forest, and it is an hour to beautiful and quiet Mar Chiquita Beach - a jewel.
On weekends there is a ferry boat to lakefront restaurants on Lago Dos Bocas for great dining lakeside.
Utuado is the largest mountain town, very much a coffee growing region, and very provincial, centrally located to Ponce, Mayaguez and an hour and a half from San Juan and Aguadilla airports.
