I wrote to the owner three times trying to get additional information about the property; he never replied. We ended up staying at the Suton Suites: great hotel in an excellent location.

We live in Vancouver and needed a place to stay while work was being done on our house. As we live locally, we were able to look at a few VRBO places in Kitsilano, and this is the place we selected. The unit is equipped with everything you need for self-catering. The heated kitchen floor, along with colourful walls and artwork, kept the place cozy and warm during rainy January. It is very family friendly, with lots of toys, baby equipment etc., and it was a safe set up for our 2 ½ year old and 6 month old. The location is very close to Kits beach which is wonderful for walks and has a fantastic playground. Without hesitation, we would highly recommend Kitsilano Cottage by the Sea.

We were fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks at Kitsilano Cottage with our 3 children (13,11,7). Kits Cottage was the perfect base for us and we could not have wished for a better location or host family. Staying at the Cottage allowed us the freedom to come and go as we chose, whilst offering our childen a sense of 'home' - the best of both worlds. The amenities were excellent and there was nothing that had not been considered for the convenience and comfort of guests. This made the experience of travelling with 3 kids as stress free as it can ever be ! Our hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable offering us many valuable suggestions about local interests and 'must do's'. The location of Kits Cottage allowed us to fully explore our neighbourhood on foot as well as allowing for easy access to a broad range of activities around Vancouver. We could not but highly recommend Kits Cottage and we will be back again in the future !

On arrival, though late, we were warmly greeted by Trevor. The Suite surpassed our expectations, it was like a home away from home. Warm, cozy and beautifully decorated. I particularly enjoyed the artwork and the wide variety of board games and books for the children. Judith dropped by the following morning and we thanked her for the milk/juice and cupboard essentials she left for us. Kits Cottage is perfectly placed for exploring all Vancouver has to offer. I have already recommended the property to friends and family. For a really good breakfast/brunch try Juliets Cafe nearby. Thank again Judith and Trevor.

Our experience at Kitsilano Cottage was fantastic. The apartment was well furnished with a full kitchen and 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths. We had three generations with us, including grandparents in their 70s and grandkids as young as 6 months. Kids needs were well met with toys, videos and books (the owner even made a special trip back with beach toys due to the unusual heat wave), and the adults enjoyed the book and art collections. We loved the outdoor patio out back, where we ate most meals in the gorgeous weather. The home is walking distance to many attractions, including Kits pool and beach, Vancouver Museum, Granville Island/Market and the Space and Maritime Museums. Owner Judy Milliken offered personal advice regarding must-dos, including dinner, drinks and sunset at Jericho Beach Sail Club (a highlight!). All our needs were catered for, and aside from a hot tub that was advertized but no longer available and hair dryers that worked sporadically, we had zero complaints. Loved the neighborhood feel and charm of the home and entire Kitsilano area. Access to greater Vancouver, Grouse Mountain and even Whistler, from Kitsilano, was a snap for us with our car, and public transport was available just blocks away. Great dining and coffee within walking distance, too. Would most definitely come back!

This a lovely home with wonderful views from the deck and a quick walk to the shore line. The locals are warm and welcoming. The ferries can be expensive so plan your trips to shore carefully. We really loved our stay.

You excellent hospitality, accommodations and location made a wonderful city splendid, throughout our stay. We appreciated the thoughtful touches from the bouquet of lilies in the kitchen to the great toys and even the loan of a bathing suit! The folk art and the videos and books in residence were a bonus. To say we had a great time is an understatement. Laurie, Marvin, Sara, Lloyd, Paul & Betty, Ashfort Ct, USA
Our time here in Kitsilano was made all the better for staying in your wonderful home. It is very comfortable and feels instantly like home. The children enjoyed all the toys and things you provided for them. They loved playing with Lachie & Jazzy. We won’t hesitate to recommend you.” Ann, Tommy, Simon, Gemma, Max & Maddie, Colchester, England
