Relaxing family vacation in comfortable cottage, September 29, 2009
By Buddy & Janet Cole (Kissimmee FL)
We had a wonderful time on Webber Pond. This pleasant cottage features a waterfront deck with amazing sunrises. We loved sitting around a campfire, listening to the loons in the evening.
The pine interior lends a rustic and "homey" feel to the modern cottage. We had room for the family to spread out and the downstairs 1/2 bath was very convenient. Plenty of dishes, pots & pans, satellite TV and basic supplies made our stay comfortable. We used the kayaks daily and loved exploring Webber Pond.
The owners were very accomodating and easily accessible. We'd be pleased to stay at this cottage again.

We had a great time. Peaceful neighborhood. Very nice and thoughtful owner. What a wonderful clean cabin by the lake. Everything you need. Nice and bright with a lake view from most rooms. Plenty to do..fish, canoe, kayak, wildlife photgraphy, golf, or just relax on the deck and listen to the loons. Play air hockey or darts in the cabin. Relax by a campfire. Go out for a great seafood dinner at the Lobster Trap Restaraunt..or cook your own lobter at the cabin,(yes, there is a lobster pot there!) You just have to go to Big G's Maine's Best Deli (581 Benton Avenue, Winslow) ..bring a BIG appetite..the sandwiches are HUGE!!(and delicious!)
Spend some time and check out Maine...it is a beautiful State.
A Great Vacation, July 22, 2008
By Sandy Heikkinen (Lake Worth,Florida)
We spent time at the cottage and with relatives. We had our son and a couple of friends stay with us most of the time. The fishing was the greatest! We caught a 12, 14, 16 inch bass. The day after we left they had a big bass fishing conest, It was cool watching the four guys next door get ready for it.
I had company one day, a raccoon came up to the door and started scratching around. I scared him off. We also saw two fawns with their mom. They stood there and watched us for several minutes.
All in all it was a a great vacation. I would go again. Thanks!
great fishing and relaxation, July 8, 2008
By Anastasia Townsend (Sudbury MA)
The lake is outstanding for fishing and canoeing or kayaking with two small islands to visit. The water was almost always very calm. In four days our young boys caught about forty fish, including three giant large-mouth bass. Most of these were caught right off the dock. The house is charming and well-supplied and cared for, and the location quiet and ideal for adults and children. The water is shallow and easy for younger children to enjoy with water shoes and a net to catch some of the smaller fish living near the water's edge. You can hear the loons on the lake, watch ospreys and an eagle dive for fish, enjoy the campfire, and picnic outside. Given the combination of wildlife and setting, we would love to return for another visit.
Peaceful Retreat, August 17, 2007
By Joe and Laura...Marley & Zoe (the pups) (Boston, MA)
We enjoyed getting away from the city and spending a week relaxing at this camp. It was quiet, clean and wonderful for anyone who wants just kick back and relax. We took out the canoe and fished (there are some big fish in the pond). Neighbors were very friendly. Would return in the future.
Great Escape, August 13, 2007
By Beth Simmons (Buxton, Me USA)
We enjoyed a comfortable, relaxing week at this camp. It was quiet, peacefull and clean. There is golfing less then a mile away and wonder fishing right off the dock. You can take the canoe to the island and explore (or fish some more). There is a great fire pit for making smores. It was nice to read a book in the early evening on the second floor balcony. The owners are friendly and easy to work with. The price is right!

We stayed at this camp for 2 weeks and had a wonderful, relaxing time. Did some canoeing, sailboating, waterskiing and just relaxing by the water. Campfires and roasting marshmallows at night. Not too far from Freeport and lots of great shopping. Good neighbors. Owners were wonderful to deal with. Would definately come back again and recommend to friends.

I have stayed at this cottage on a couple of occasions. It provides a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere for vacation. The lake is great for canoeing, fishing or swimming. Or if you prefer, just sit on the deck, read your book and enjoy the beautiful view. Roast marshmallows lakeside and enjoy the firepit in the evenings. And the golfing at Natanis is great. Owners are friendly and easy to deal with. I highly recommend you give this place a try. External Links
