Fresh flowers greet you when you arrive at your lovely, modern beach apartment. Only steps to the sand of world-famous Venice Beach and Muscle Beach. A short stroll to the trendy shops and restaurants of Venice's Abbot Kinney Blvd. and Santa Monica Pier. Easy public transportation to the Getty Center, UCLA and beyond.

Venice is a fun, lively and colorful part of Los Angeles... but we offer a peaceful refuge in a quiet residential neighborhood, only steps from Venice Beach, perfect for R&R. ***Please note that PARTIES ARE NOT ALLOWED and City of Los Angeles noise ordinance takes effect after 9pm

Your ART COLONY apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a large sun deck with BBQ, Master Bedroom with private balcony overlooking our lush patio garden, and is decorated with art from the owner's private collection. The Twin room has 2 twin beds and has more themed art. The Double room has a comfy pillow-top double bed and art. The unit boasts a large gourmet kitchen with new appliances, 32" Sony HD TV, high speed wireless internet, wood-burning fireplace, washer/dryer in unit. Comfortable and stylish. Secured 2-car parking. Total living space is over 1,400 square feet. The Art Gallery is on the 2nd floor, (14 stair steps from ground level). Another unit, The Artist's Loft is 29 stair steps from ground level.

The owners are avid art collectors, and decorated their apartments from their personal collection. (Many pieces are for sale, so if you fall in love with one, you may purchase it as a souvenir of your trip!)

PLEASE NOTE: Additional $25 per person per night over 6. Holiday/event dates same as high season. 3-night minimum stay. Rates subject to 14% LA transient occupancy tax. $150 exit cleaning fee, $1,500 fully-refundable deposit, pre-authorized only on your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express card. Please note the following reservation, deposit, payment and cancellation policies for the Artist's Loft and Art Gallery residences: one-half of total rental fee (plus tax) is due at time of booking to secure your reservation; payment balance (balance of rental, tax and exit cleaning fee) is due upon arrival; if cancellation, including revision to length of stay, is made prior to 21 days from arrival date, we will make full refund of payment in the form of original payment method; there will be no refund for cancellation or revision within 21 days of arrival date. For guests numbering more than 6, there is a $25 per person per night additional charge. A $1,500 fully-refundable security deposit -- to be applied to damages to the property, if any -- is required at check-in via credit card authorization or cash.

Great time in Venice

Very conveniently located and cosy appartment with private parking in a very quiet neighbourhood just one hundred steps behind the beach. Very close acces to grocery shopping and resturants in the neighbourhood. We really appreciated the comfort of this very clear and bright appartment.

Comfortable stay in great location

I stayed in feb 2012 with my Mum and Dad who are in their late 60s. The apartment was lovely, spotlessly clean with lovely comfy beds and a comfy sofa too. There were lovely fresh flowers to greet us and adrian made us feel very welcome and gave us some helpful tips about the area. The apartment is a couple of minutes walk to Venice beach and all beach stuff is provided. The beach itself is beautiful - miles of golden sand. The promenade is very busy at the weekends, lots of "characters",but a lot quieter during the week. It's a very pleasant walk to Santa Monica pier and to the farmer's market. There's loads to see and do in the area, and the main tour companies can just pick you up from a nearby hotel if you want to do a tour. We did the all day Universal Studios tour with Starline and the return bus transfer was free! All in all we had a great time and can highly recommend this apartment.

We stayed in the Artist's loft for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It has very good location to the beach and to sine lovely local shops. It has all the facility and we just felt like at home. We have the rooftop for relaxation. We would love to be back there again

Stylish, great landlady in a convenient location

The house was clean and set up well when we arrived with the flowers in kitchen. Adrian was very nice and accommodating to allow us to sleep 8 folks, which worked really well with the extra air mattress. Location was nice where it really was a block from Venice beach, and had a 2 car garage to store our cars for all other touristy activities. The neighbors are VERY sensitive to noise as we just talked normal at night (windows were partly open that night though), and they swung by to ask us to be more quiet. Also, the whole house had only 1 shower -> the soaking tub doesn't have a shower, so we had to work out a shower schedule since there were so many of us. Overall, the house was what we needed and we were very pleased with it.
