Description of the Venice Beach vacation guesthouse rental

Bike to beach from charming French styled artist's studio surrounded by Monet gardens. It is as if Big Sur has come to Venice Beach. While planning your day, sip your coffee in a yard made private by flowering trees which attract hummingbirds, butterflies,mockingbirds and finches. French doors and windows open out on the garden, and huge skylights emit light from above. There is a small bricked patio with a table, or a larger patio for just sitting.

The studio is one room -- 800 square feet, so all areas are in one space, making each room seem large. The kitchen is totally equipped from salad bowl to garlic press, toaster oven to microwave. A large butcher block table is there for chopping. You can cook on the stove or BBQ. There is a full-sized washer and dryer.

For entertainment, there is Direct TV with HBO and SHO, as well as our subscription for movies. There is a formal dining area .There is a Queen Bed in the bedroom area, and a mattress can be provided for more people, if necessary. There are stained cement floors throughout, recently refinished, decorated with Oriental carpets.

Though located on a quiet residential street, you have easy public transit access to downtown LA and art and entertainment venues. Walk or bike to the nearby shopping center to a Starbucks, grocery store, Costco, video store, etc. The studio is available as of April 2008 for vacation rentals.

Venice California is a fascinating and idiosyncratic area, the second largest tourist attraction in California after Disneyland. It is populated by world renowned artists and also movie stars. Venice has incredible restaurants, art galleries, the Boardwalk with its street performers, shops and outdoor stands. Dolphins and seals frolick in the surf.

Close by are the Venice Canals, not the original built by Abbot Kinney, but fed by the same Main canal with ocean water. Hollywood with all of the tourist attractions will beckon to any tourist visiting for the first time, as well as Malibu and Santa Barbara. California is a state of mind, and Venice is perhaps its most unusual city. It was built to be a Mecca for the intellectual and artist....and it remains a place for both.
