Description of the Venice Beach vacation home rental

We have Sept. 30-Oct. 11th available and are offering 10% off. Lovely, new 2 bedroom duplex which sleeps 6, The downstairs bedroom can be configured either as two twins or a king size bed. Living room has a fold out double futon which sleeps two. Upstairs is a king size bed with the 2nd bathroom. Bath has a shower and jacuzzi tub for two. Off this bedroom there is a rooftop patio, just right for a morning cup of coffee and a balcony.

The Living room has a flat screen TV with DVD, VCR. We have a collection of DVD, VHS for your use. We also have board games, cards etc. There is a Ipod player / radio too. We have internet connection that can be used all over the home.

Our kitchen is well equiped with everything you'll need to cook if you want to as well as a gas BBQ. Whole Foods grocery store is just around the corner and is not to be missed, you'll love it! Sat. and Sun. wine tasting is great plus a whole range of delicious prepared food for all throughout the week. That is not to leave out the whole array of wonderful things Whole Foods has normally. Numerous restaurants are located within walking distance.

The kitchen has french doors that open to the patio which has a table and chairs for outdoor dinning. It's a lovely spot to sun yourself of sit under the umbrella.

We have 2 boggie boards, sand toys, beach umbrella and beach towels for your use. There are 3 bikes for your use at $25.00 per week per bike. (well below the going rate for rentals.)

Area Description

Come to the famous Venice Beach and Boardwalk. We are located next door to a lovely park called 'Ozone' with playground equipment and a large green space to toss a ball or frizbe. We are 8 blocks from beach and a 10 min. walk, located in between Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey. Only 5 miles from LAX airport. Plenty of restaurants nearby, also a brand new luxurious Wholefoods Hypermarket around corner as well as nearby Lincoln Blvd (the no 1 Highway). Close to major Freeways and Hollywood, Malibu, Disneyland, Universal Studios nearby. All furnished with washing machine and dryer. Street Parking is available outside.

Some of the "don't miss" places in Venice are Abbot Kinny Blvd. (shopping and restaurants), Main St. in Santa Monica (shopping and restaurants), 3rd St. in Santa Monica,(shopping and restaurants), Santa Monica pier with amusement rides and a carousal, the canals in Venice (a bit of Venice History), Venice Boardwalk for a wide variety of shopping, restaurants street performers, There is a 30 mile bike trail next to the boardwalk going from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach. Great for skating too. Bergamont Station in Santa Monica (30 art galleries to see some amazing art). We have 4 bikes,4 boggie boards, beach towels, sand toys and an umbrella.

Going out a little farther from Venice there is Malibu a short drive away. Hollywood Blvd to see the stars, Griffith Park to view the observatory and enjoy the park, Los Angeles Zoo, Universal Studios, Numerous art galleries and museums. About 40 miles away is Disneyland, a favorite with lots of our guests.

Great location...walk to the Venice beach in about 15 minutes or drive your car about five minutes and you have parking and facilites/restaurants at the Santa Monica Pier and beach; Whole Foods is just around the corner as are restaurants. We felt safe walking around everywhere.
The property is clean and well-maintained...plenty of videos and boardgames for entertainment, flowers and wine upon arrival...the owners make it seem like a home away from home. We enjoyed the quiet patio for breakfast (wonderful weather and no bugs). They provided two bicycles and beach/toys,towels and umbrella.
The off- street parking was a concern, but not a problem.

hey the westside boyz skate board krew just stayed jun13 jun21 and it was the best stay we ever hade the house was worth way more then we payed and axcess to the real venice was what we really loved it was so clouse to the beach and to west hollywood we were near all the greatest skate spots in the world.

We loved the ease of staying at this rental, everything that you wish you had while on holiday but is not practical to travel with have been provided by the lovely and totally helpful hosts. The booking procedure was so easy and the care and concern about running a great rental business by the owners is totally felt and appreciated. The rental is spacious, clean, well equipped and we plan to highly recommend it.

We stayed here over the holidays and it proved to be a great launching pad to everywhere we wanted to visit. The beach is one of the biggest and most famous in the world. We even saw a movie star down at the beach! The art museum was fantastic and tar pits were pretty interesting too. I guess what I'm trying to say is everything we wanted to see was close to this place and that was really convenient with us being from out of town. The place was clean and NEW. Like just built. I couldn't believe our luck in finding something this nice. It's on a quiet street and was a great place for us to relax. The owners were quite nice and helpful when we asked. We'll definitely be staying here again if it's available when we come back to LA.

We visited this lovely rental last summer and it was a wonderful quiet place. Plenty of ocean breezes to keep you cool day and night. The place was recently constructed and very comfortable. The amenities are really nice and the owners really put some thought into what you might need. I really don't think the pictures do it justice--it is much nicer!!!! This is the place to decompress and find yourself again.

There is a wonderful park right behind the unit which is great for kids and a picnic. My kids loved it and it was sooo nice that the park was just ten steps away. There is also a Whole Foods right around the corner and some really tasty restaurants and coffee houses within walking distance. My kids really loved the donut shop at the corner of Rose and Lincoln--we might go back just for the donuts. The beach is great and don't miss the Venice Beach Ocean Front Walk and the Santa Monica Pier. This was a great location to serve as a base camp to go out on our day trips.

The owners are very nice people and very helpful. I will most definitely return and I have already started telling my friends about the place.

My Mother, teenage daughter & myself stayed here for a week in early February 2009.
The apartment was clean and well maintained and had everything that was needed for our stay.
We found the owners easy to talk too and very helpful.
The apartment is on a quiet street and was a great place for us to relax
It was in a convenient location and we found it easy to get to everywhere we wanted to visit.
We would recommend a car (with a GPS for those who don't know LA). There is no off-street parking but we always found a parking space in the street alongside the apartment.
There was a Whole Foods market on the corner (a two minute walk away) which was very convenient. There is also an internet site about 4 minutes walk away. (The owners have a wireless internet account but we never got around to buying a US/NZ power converter so we couldn’t charge our laptop)
I also had a wonderful Swedish massage at the Thai massage place - also only two minutes away at the end of the street. Added a nice bit of pampering time into our holiday.

I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

We stayed here last November, it was a lovely home, everything new. It was obvious the owners had given a lot of thought to what their guests would need to enjoy their stay. The bed in the master bedroom was heavenly. We will definately stay here again next time we come to the area.

Wir sind gerade erst zurückgekommen und es war wundervoll.Sehr preiswert,obwohl wir erst sehr spät gebucht hatten.Die fotos werden der Wohnung nicht gerecht,sie ist grosszügig geschnitten,sehr gepflegt,gut eingerichtet,mit prima Betten.Der Balkon lädt zum abendlichen Sitzen ein und auf der Terrasse haben wir jeden Morgen gefrühstückt.Die Lage ist zentral,der Biosupermarkt um die Ecke.Die Vermieter Alice und David sind aussergewöhnlich nett und sehr bemüht.Sie waren die Privatsphäre sind aber immer da,wenn man sie braucht.Hoffentlich müssen sie nie schlechte Erfahrungen machen.Wir würden jederzeit wieder in dieser Wohnung Urlaub machen.For English speaking Guests,this suite is really nice.A lot of space,a wonderful bed,good furnished,everything you need and even more.The house is very central,around the corner is a Bio supermarket and a lot of restaurants.Alice and David are very kind,they help whatever problem there might be.I hope they will never make bad experiences with their guests.We would come back in this apartment any time.

What a great place to stay with a family! We had 3 adults and 2 babies and were very comfortably accommodated with lots of room for us all. The portacot and high chair made our stay just that bit easier. We used the available bikes and rode down to Santa Monica Pier which was a nice ride away. Wholefoods Market was just on the corner so we enjoyed being able to stock up on groceries and then cook in the very well stocked kitchen. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts Alice and David. Thanks for a great stay!
