Description of the Venice vacation home rental

Location, Location. Fabulous renovated 2 bd, 1.5 bth island cottage home, about a 3 minute walk (only 5 houses away) to the beach and just a block away from Sharky’s pier. This beautiful vacation home on Venice Island, features granite counters, tropical décor, a flat screen TV, king size bed in the master, two twin beds in the guest room and a laundry room. Amenities provided include beach chairs, towels, umbrella, bicycles, a gas barbeque grill, fully stocked kitchen, screened in lanai. Just bring your clothes, flip flops and enjoy gorgeous sunsets, golf, theater, restaurants and all that Venice island has to offer.

Venice Beach Home

Every description about this home on VHR is accurate. The home was wonderful, ideally located to some of the best beaches in the area. The home is equipped with everything, I mean everything you need to have a wonderful time. The owner is wonderful and easy to work with. We would like to return to the same place every year. We were near many beaches that we found many shark teeth fossils. There are bikes included and we found an exercise niche we enjoyed immensely. The area is very friendly to bike riders. We fished from the pier without having to buy a fishing license (free if fishing from the pier) and caught Spanish Marlins and Ladyfish. Never have we traveled to a spot that had so many wonderful, exciting fun things to do. The home is close to Siesta Key beach, (white sugary sand) and only a few hours drive to all of the Orlando action. Thank you to the owner for a clean, fully stocked kitchen, lots of room, and an ideal location!

Wonderful home away from home!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. We would strongly recommend staying here. The location was a terrific. In the evening we would take the short walk to see the sunset at the local park (service station park). Everything in the house was super clean. We had everything we needed. This was a last minute decision to rent a house over staying at a hotel and we were super lucky getting this house. My husband's criteria are a comfy king sized bed and good air-conditioning- both were excellent! For me, I wanted a washer and dryer and a second bedroom for our 8 month old. It was perfect! We will rent this house again!

Great place, so close to the beach to watch amazing sunsets or hunt for sharks teeth! Venice is such a clean, quiet, friendly town. Dennis is so helpful and the house has everything you need including bicycles to explore the interesting architecture of the island, or the delightful shops. And there are sidewalks and bike lanes virtually everywhere. Always something going on..or just relax on the lovely screened-in porch and enjoy the tropical breezes.

Best Kept Secret

This house is the perfect vacation getaway. It's a 3 min. walk to the beach. It is conveniently located near shopping and entertainment. Nothing in the description of the amenities was over stated. We were impressed with the fact that all we had to do was bring our food, clothing and the desire to have a great time. All the little details that go into having a great stay were taken care of. The refrigerator had bottles of water in it. The bathroom came stocked with shampoo and soaps and lots of soft, clean towels. The house was clean and nicely decorated. It rivaled any hotel that we may have stayed at in the area. It's across the street from the Venice airport. But it was quiet and we enjoyed periodically watching the small single engine planes take off and land. Its a safe place for families with young children. The big backyard is fenced in on two sides for privacy. We didn't use the outdoor patio with the gas grill but it would have been great for entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out in the large screened porch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend renting this house to my friends. We look forward to staying there again in the future.
