We rented the bottom unit for a week. Perfect for our family of four and one small dog (who loved the fenced backyard). Enjoyed walking to and on the beach several times. Kids loved the boogie boards provided. We BBQ'd or cooked and ate at the house most days which was great with the fully outfitted kitchen (dishes, utensils, pots/pans. coffee pot, dishwasher, etc.). The owners are terrific; only had one minor issue arise during our time and they handled it immediately! With the price being reasonable we weren't sure what to expect - definitely a pleasant surprise.

The house is in a great location with the park across the street being dog friendly and the beach just steps away. There is also a great ship and playground for kids to play on across the way. Also, my husband was really excited about the surfing and would come back with a wetsuit and board. The house itself was cute and well supplied. The owner was very helpful and did everything she could to make our stay pleasant. Though we have to say, our favorite location was on the deck over the garage. We would sit up there and eat while we looked out at the great ocean views. The front "yard" of the house is also very nice and comfortable. The back yard is mostly an open space, which would be perfect for a pet or playing kids. We highly recommend staying here!

The house was well supplied, clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. We liked the backyard (so did the dog), and used the beach gear and bicycles almost every day. The owner was friendly and helpful. Our security deposit was returned very quickly. We'll recommend this place to our friends and family.

We recently stayed for a second time at 1062 Bangor in Ventura. What can I say: Location , Location, Location. This place is close to everything. A couple of blocks away there are restaurants , grocery store etc. all with in walking distance. You are just 9 houses away from the sand. The upstairs duplex is perfect for a family vacation. I spent a week there with my family. It has two bedrooms and two baths so it makes it extra roomy. It gives you a feeling of being at home, with a fully stocked kitchen for cooking if you so desire. A washer and dryer if you need it. We spent a lot of time riding bikes, because there is a bike path at the end of the street. We took our own bikes, but the owner has some there for his tenants use, even some beach toys and chairs. If you are looking to get away and just relax and enjoy the beach life this is the place. We will defiantly plan our return.

The apartment is wonderful. Excellent location. Great parking and perfect access to walk or bike ride. The owners are super welcoming and helpful. My family loved it.

The view and sunsets were spectacular. The amenities of the duplex were overstated. The kitchen utensils provided were bare minimum. There was no dining table. However we ate drank sunned, surfed, kayaked, walked through town, enjoyed the great produce stand on a daily basis; and may rent again next year!
Another great vacation. See you next year!
