Vernon is situated 46 kms north of Kelowna in the northern region of the Okanagan Valley, a 4.5 hour drive northeast of Vancouver or a 6 hour drive west from Calgary, Alberta.
Greater Vernon is surrounded by 3 lakes; the northern tip of Okanagan Lake, to the west Kalamalka Lake, Lake of many Colors, to the East; and Swan Lake to the north.
Although the lakes make Vernon a popular summer tourist destination, Silver Star Ski Resort and its Victorian inspired village, also makes Vernon a popular winter destination for skiers.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Willys Ranch. The Host, Helene is very friendly. The accomodation was exceptional. Very clean, very well appointed and very well serviced. The amenities were excellant. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed at this delightful self catering "property " for a week and found it extremely comfortable.The views of the valley from the windows were stunning especially in the morning when you woke up. The beds were great and the rooms supplied with with good quality towels, and sheets.The decor was tasteful with a well kitted kitchen. As well as soap and shower gel ,dishwashing liquid etc. ,plenty of coffee, tea bags and milk were provided. Outside there was a spatious patio with an umberella,tables and chairs from which you could watch the changing view of thevalley and hills beyond as the sun moved round . The accommodation was situated well away from the owners home with easy close parking . The adjacent picturesque Dutch-type barn surrounded by horses and white fencing corrall was much more charming than staying in a motel on the highway .

we stayed at willys ranch in april 2010. We were really impressed with the place and it had everything you could ask for even down to the tea bags. The Hughe's were really great and it was a nice stay. We would recommend this place to everyone it was spotless and very quiet and peaceful. Everything was only a few minutes away (ex) shopping and restaurants. A great experience. Will stay again if in the Vernon aera. Thank You to the Hughe's for your hospitality. The Lynch's
