Description of the Vernon vacation home rental

Our south-west facing beachhouse is 2500 sq ft with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it is an open concept house with a large main floor entertainment area with big windows overlooking the deck and the lake. Using the BBQ on the deck goes great with a Corona. There is a hot tub under a huge weeping willow that overlooks the lake. Sitting on the dock in the evening watching the fish jump is great, especially when it's warm. The beach has fine sand that the kids love to play in and when they want to come in, there is an outdoor shower to clean them off. The mornings are usually calm so you can take your boat out for an early morning ski. There is a fire pit on the beach that makes a vacation something to remember.

Area Information

The Okanagan is a great holiday destination, with the warm weather, local fruit orchards, wineries, it's got something for everyone. Vernon is surrounded by 3 lakes. The one we are on reaches past Kelowna all the way to Pentiction, about 100 miles long. The water is warm and great to swim in especially when the weather is HOT.

activities like bicycling, canoeing, snorkeling, windsurfing, etc are available if you bring your own equipment. Windsurfing and sailing is great because the wind almost always blows toward our shore. We have both beginner wind and expert wind.

We enjoyed the house, beach, and water. The location was great. The owners were very helpful. Doug the boat pilot sure knows how to thrill the kids!! Hoping to return next year!!
